well so after being inspired upon zedblades grumpy comments, It inspired me  to make a pros and cons list
on how one would triumph over the other.

      Ubisoft

       Cons:

- inconsistancy with patches

- lack of ability to mod

- Forums are goverened and don't allow
freedom / not clean

- Only listened to thier fan base up until now

- stuck with the same boring maps

-  terrible with netcoding and cant code to save thier life interms of mulitplayer.

- community has to find alternatives to fix problems  ie. flashlight /  maps left untranslated
in french , ie. steelsquat

- Poor math skills : geometry on the stair case with polar base,

- failure to understand balance

- Never finish a product from start to finish.

- lack of customization
Pros:

+ lots of money

+ lots of dev members

+ alot of titles put out.

Project Stealth :

Pros :

+ players like me and you and not,  know what us fans want / listens.

+ have a creative sense of direction with maps

+ theres always room for expansion , ie. new features , moves equipment, or Even if they wanted to do a single player, co-op, the opportunities are endless ,that's if the team feels comfortable after upon finishing project stealth.

+ Uses higher engine then what ubisoft is using

+ Dedicated team to provide the best multi player experience

+ website / forums are easy navigate and professionally done.

+ learning curve can be reset
@ anytime with the provision of the editor / new ideas from the community.

+ Project stealth has the ability to customize your character , hence the character package that was released with Goodkebab's model

   Cons :

-not everyone understands that you cant just pull  a mod out of a hat, hence
the daily lives of Work/ College/ University / Children.

- People can leave cause of personal reasons.

-  Some people may loose motivation, even though thats not the case right now.

-  lazyness  could come into effect , but that wont happen due to intense screening process.

-  Don't own all the resources to the unreal engine But that can change , hence the MSU ( make something unreal contest)

I think that sums that all up for now but feel free to add more .

Surely it defeats the purpose of an abbrieviation if you have to disclose its definition straight after? ;D

Some of the points I disagree with but I'm far to tired to quote it all out. If Ubi makes a decent Spy V merc and the PS team still continues then I'll obviously still give PS a go. SCDA MP looked promising until I actually got my hands on it. So ya' never know.

That was only for UT3 and has never been confirmed to be in PS.

To add to that: we're currently not planning to have it like that. Getting PS done is our main priority. Additions like that can come later.

I was being realistic based on my experience as a professional game developer and from my inside information as a PS Dev. I was not being grumpy or just trying to start something for shits and giggles.

Agent, your blind faith is us is misguided. Not to mention everyone's so called 'hate' for Ubisoft is nothing but a facade. We play and discus one of their 5 year old games every day. Ubisoft is just like any company, they have made and published numerous quality games, as well as numerous bad games. They have supported their games to the best of their ability as well as completely shunned other games to dwell in bug-ridden hellholes. Just like pretty much every developer out there.

Seriously, why did you create this thread, to try and get brownie points from us PS devs? Well it's not going to work, it only makes you look even more naive.

inconsistancy with patches? please...

ubi will bang out patches at a much faster rate than ps...remember its their job too.

My prediction is that we will get one or two patches out of PS but the playerbase will fall so low that it wont be worth making another. I know it seems like im pissing on everyones fire, but im trying to be realistic.

None the less, i hope im proven wrong.

Actially Ubi is slow with patches and usually they dont fix the more important stuff either.

There's nothing wrong with making the post but there's not much point. Personally I think that if Ubisoft got more involved with the community for feedback on the game, and also improved support, that they could obviously create a better game than a small development team, these guys have a lot of experience. Like Zedblade, I feel that it's almost the cool thing nowadays to say that Ubisoft is shit, as a matter of fact without them SvM would never have been developed, nor would the Splinter Cell franchise.

However, in my opinion PS will be better than Chaos Theory's SvM. We can look at what has been done right, wrong, and how the game can be improved. This is not foresight Ubisoft had whilst developing the game. All of the PS team are clearly very talented guys, and I think that they can pull this off, but we have to keep in mind that they are a small team of developers with limited time to work on the game, as opposed to a team like Ubisoft who can work full time on games for a decent wage. If Ubisoft were to adopt the attitude of the PS team and continue to develop SvM gameplay, then I think it's obvious where the highest quality would be found.

Ubisoft makes decent single player games, but their multiplayer offerings have typically been buggy and neglected.

well thats exactly what i was highlighting really, though next time if i make post such as this similar in the future then I will be sure to mention Multi player instead of assuming , even tho thus far Project stealth is only multi player.

-Thanks Murdy for da Sig <3  xD

Yea but if you think that Ubi makes buggy games, just wait until you play one made by amateurs in their spare time.
