wow, u guys are right. i never realized that. well they were all sweet maps tho. i dont know what to say. maybe the idea of abandoned stuff is attractive. i certainly like it. i mean it makes sense for the setup.

This new map idea i came up with, i named the hotel aquadalhia. It is under construction, but it is almost finished, this the construction makes sense at this point. sometimes when your at a constrcution site in the early phase nothing makes sense. EDIT: By under construction i mean the actual final map will be a constuction scene. im not talking about the phases of creating a map.


that is the back of the hotel, i did that first cause that is where the spies are intended to start. the front is still in the map, but that part is not played as much as the back area.

can anyone (like a pre-dev) tell me what is the estimated system demand of this game. one reason i liked scpt cause it was just so advanced yet my system ran it with ease. so here is my opinion

same demand of scpt - good
demand of scda        - id rather not make my comp commit suicide

A really good idea for a map would be a hotel construction site. Since hotels are so diverse, you can really do this any way you want. you can have a modern hotel, or a classy one. and since it is just being built, all you have to do it create the models and put a concrete texture. I think im gonna draw up some concepts, and ill throw them in the presentation forum and you guys can tell me what you like.

that would be built in. it would be nice if to make it more realistic the reticle would actually wash across the screen (just a little bit). when its dark and we wave a LED light around it kind of slurs around our field of vision. the story behind it is sensors in the gun indicate where the gun is aming and display the spot on its visor.

when i got PT i was un shock. i stayed at my comp for hours and hours, i had been waiting for the game for 5 months. it was a great experience. when ct came out i didnt even feel any excitement when i played it. these guys wanna make the same shock factor from sc1 to scpt. cause the shock factor from scpt to scct was a 1/10.

something really cool that i think could be done easily would be that instead of the reticle looking like a predesigned reticle, like in CT with the mercs. you could make it a simple oval shaped dot in the middle (horizantally) and a small line going thru it (horizantally again). here is the cool part which makes it feel like new tech and such. you could make the reticle i just explained a little undefined and blurry. so when u turn around and flcik ur screen you can see a quick wash of it wherever u turn. if u do it right it could look really amazing

thanks for your critisism. but i was talking bout the voice. i agree with you, we should just say "the 'blank' terminal is being hacked" but what i meant is that the actual voice is so aggresive. the voice should kinda be normal and casual. possibly like it is built into the mercs system? not just for informaing the player...

ased on what i read in other topics i sketched this mercenary. it may however be too close to the CT and PT models. if so, just say so. i gave him realistic futuristic weapons. i also was wondering what u guys think of te weapon light vs the helmet light.

i think that if you do an annoucned you should do it right. im thinking a male british accent, very subtle, nothing like the deathmatch style DA...
