Well there's a problem with that.  You could walk up to someone and have no idea they have a shotgun, then get your body destroyed.  The 1 weapon thing would be better than that because it's a jack of all trades sort of gun.  The 3 weapon thing would be best because it adds variety and offers more possibilities for teamwork and collaboration.
