Yeah dude I don't see that being a problem, and is quite logical IMHO. Your card sucks, you focus on gameplay coding and such, they focus on the shaders/effects.

Well, that depends what you start with, check out CipherEngine, it has all of the above mentioned built in, it would be a big leap over Ogre. And is ready for game specific coding, so that you don't have to bother with alot of shaders and such.

Yes, but you can't deny me my right to give some things a try. There is a post saying that I do a little programming, if you would like to see it.

I say good day.

You've misunderstood me, I was just pointing out that if indeed you do make it as a UI Artist, that won't be one of your problems/tasks, and I have no problems with anyone wanting to learn dude, knock yourself out.

As a UI Artist, it's not one of your tasks to code the actuall UI into the game, you just have to design the graphics and prepare them according to the coder who's in charge of coding the actual UI.

Yeah but the P90 IMHO is too big, we need something compact and cool looking, MP7 with retracted buttstock and front handle raised is teh pwn.

Hey guys, seeing as how there's like 8 active members in the forum, and no new posts are appearing, how about we get together like an IRC channel or something?

Haha... nice. I've worked with Cienema 4D R8, Maya 4-8, 3DS Max 5-8, Lightwave, Milkshape 3D, Photoshop, Illustrator, GoLive, Premiere, UnrealED, GTRadiant, Turbo Delphi Explorer, Visual C++ 2005.

The question is:

What am I proffecient in?

Maya (Any/All Versions), Photoshop, UnrealED, GoLive. Sure I know basic Delphi and C++, but I am nowhere near good with it.

And the next question is:

What are you proffecient in?

I don't understand your point or where your comming from. How am I being unfair? He applied for the wrong thing, he knows nothing about programming. He knows how to piece together elements in the UnrealED, which won't help a bit if we move to another engine. I want him on the team, in fact he was one of the first I suggested. However, i want him for a modeler and level designer. FX Programming is something that requires a lot of code and I have no doubt that given the time, he might one day learn it. HOWEVER, we really would like people that already know how to do these things. We are in abundent supply of people that say they would love to help and will learn just for this game. That requires time we really don't have. The longer this thing sits still, the bigger the change it will fall through the cracks and people just won't care.

Me and Iservalot have a weird relationship. Anything I say to him that might sound mean and insulting is just our way of messing with each other.

And on a side note, I do expect professional game developers to work on this for free. Why? Becuase we already have two doing so. Me and Goodkebab. Goodkebab is a real developer, he has been in the buisness before I even played the super nintendo.

So then you're going to tell me that I do not have as much skill as someone who does this as a profession?  Someone must do this for a living to have skill on par to you or Goodkebab? Please say otherwise because now I am having mixed feelings.
