Public Discussion / Official Thread of Unofficial Wiki

Dear Project Stealth Community!

Please, visit Project Wiki.

It need your critique and recommendations.

First could be done in comments, second - with the help of social bookmarks with easy.

Of course, you shouldn't recommend anything, if you would see something incorrect on pages about Project Stealth. The same goes if you could tell me, what should be improved also.

Show you loyalty:

  • Add resource about our lovely Project to as much social bookmark services as you can.
  • Put on various game web sites urls to quality web pages about Project Stealth.

Current wiki content was taken from your posts and comments, dear devs and fans. Big thank to everyone who shared own ideas back in past!

Still there are a lot of things that could be added to wiki. I checked only All Big Media-Releases sources. Advices about what should be added to Project Stealth pages are welcome.

We all know the guy who is responsible for keeping these forums and official web site alive. My small project couldn't be done without hard work of the official PR man. Nice job, Frvge! Keep it going and don't forget to tell us what useful stuff we could do, ok?

Another call for you, gents and lads, will be invite to unofficial PR team for PS.

  • Together we could keep Project Stealth wiki in effective up-to-date status. For sure such efforts could be presented to numerous web site for gamers and gamedevs over the Internet.
  • Also you could submit own articles to Project Stealth wiki. Then recommend added content with the help of social bookmarking or game forums.

Still the best option is to add your review to the web site specialized in game industry.

Project Stealth wiki could also accept and use another unusual user submissions. I'm talking about

  • Crosswords

  • Quotes catalog

  • Question & Answers directory

  • Quizes

  • Surveys

  • Polls
What ideas for these community tools do you have?

Let's see how creative we could be.  ;D

Cool, so what is the purpose of "Night Mist" then? And, please, could you give direct url to 5 second file? Thank you in advance.

What I said was: if you can't do programming or art, then you could try to spread the word. Creation of marketing materials ( = new trailers and so on) is not possible because you don't have access to the raw source materials. So just continue with your wiki.
Thank you, I shall. But it's possible for forum members to create text marketing materials. You could work with raw materials and at the same time people here could make a word and spread it further. Could Team members share some tips for us as Project fans? Directives?

I wouldn't call sound of 5 seconds a song. It's the PS logo sequence.
I'm not sure that we're talking about the same thing.

The url is http://static.projectstealthgame.com/audio/theodorewohng_night_mist.mp3
and music duration is more then 5 seconds:

Any ideas why song was called "Night Mist"?

I don't know. I don't think there's much you can do in this case.
Well, but didn't you say

?

I could admit that marketing is not programming or art. But it's very close to "spread the word".
Maybe you think that I'm not enough dedicated fan to be useful? If you didn't see Project Stealth Wiki url in my profile, signature or under my avatar, check it, please. Could I know your opinion about how I could become better fan then I am?

People who are interested it will experiment and learn it themselves.
Thus I'm requesting for help. Anybody who is not part of Dev Team. I want to learn and experiment with you, guys and lads. We could share map ideas and gameplay knowledge. Discuss preliminarily before we'll  start to make our custom maps. I.e. do some map testing on paper. This proposal is actual during a couple next years. You could contact me via skype - maxim.pishnyak . Thank you and have a nice day today... and not only today.

Thank you for clarifying this. I'll update my music box.

And what is the final name of the song:
1. Project Stealth Logo Sequence
2. Night Mist
3. Project Stealth Logo Sequence - Night Mist
4. Night Mist - Project Stealth Logo Sequence
?

Considering this music thread is the most recent comparing with
Tick Tock (music and screens) I want to ask about "Project Stealth Logo Sequence" from this Text-entry #1:

Text-entry #1:
Some notes from the composer about the music as used in the Lakehouse Teaser.

Does "3 Fingerprints" equal to "Project Stealth Logo Sequence"? If it doesn't, I'll be happy to see music from Lakehouse Teaser in this folder http://www.projectstealthgame.com/public/music to be able adjust Project Stealth music box

If your stuff is good...
How mapper himself could be sure that he's stuff is good for Dev Team?
I'm not 100% sure that I personally know all important issues about PS map design:
http://www.thief-haven.com/project-stealth/map-design
http://www.thief-haven.com/project-stealth/map-asylum
http://www.thief-haven.com/project-stealth/map-lakehouse
Please reveal some design tips. That could encourage creating of custom maps in general.

What can I do as a fan to help the project in preparing marketing material?

You think spending even more time for porting the game on UE4 is worth the time. Please tell me why exactly you think so, so that I can understand it as well.

I mean sooner or later frvge wants all of his work to pay off.
*me rechecking Lennard's words:

I can see myself now and learn from it. And that's what this whole project is about for me.
Something changed during these four years?

Well on the other hand we could see it as "the longer they work, the more motivated they are to finish it, so that their time spent on it was not wasted"...

I'm not support Project well still.  But I'm working on this.

I think at some time in 2010 frvge posted that they will release the game in 2011... well you can see how that went.
Development process is very open and public friendly. This is the best and fairly enough recommendation for 'waiting a game'.

Don't get me wrong, frvge, I really want a high quality SvM game, but what the people on that forum wrote is true.

Switching to UE4 will extend the production time even more.

I can completely understand the switch from mod to UDK indie, but the change from UE3 to UE4?

You have to understand that this is not something that sits well with all the people who waited all the time.
It's physically impossible to wait 'all the time'. People are doing own stuff through their lives.

One guy asked Frvge in Youtube comments: "What can I do as a fan to help the project?"

And the answer was: "Unless you have skills in programming or art, your best way of helping is to spread the word. It's as easy as that :)"

So show me these loads of followers that were guided to PS? The result of insane activity of 'all the people who waited all the time'.

Guess what all these waiters could do with poor PS Team? They could flood it with numerous coders and animators, modellers and mappers, soundmens and musicians, which could be attracted to join so and so cool project.

That article is so old...I get what your trying to do, but a much more recent article would do far more to help to Project Stealth.
It's old. Agreed. But I don't see that this is a problem. Every new article will become old after some time, but this doesn't prevent positive effect from it.

Also Frvge and me are working each on much more better versions of PS landing pages. Official PR guy will update official web site. Unofficial PR Guy (me) - unofficial PS wiki.

Having ready to catch landing pages the point of posting articles/threads on game sites will arise definitely.

Public Discussion / I like spawn rape
October 07, 2013, 02:28:06 PM
What could be more adrenaline engaged then a little spawn rape?

           Spawn raPPing

When I came in the thieves were in their spawn,
When I went out the thieves were all gone.
I firespammed the whole place,
Then I smacked down every face,
Then there was hella whining,
'Cus them foos couldn't handle my GRINDING*
Then I did it again and again,
So I got kickbanned never to come back again,
So I changed my IP and I got a new ID,
But I keep on with my mad ways 'cus I'm migh-ty!
