Well basically, i miss it. Having played many games way back the only game i really, really enjoyed was SC:CT. The most special thing about it was the entropy , i miss it  :( . I dont think ill be able to play project stealth much but really , you need to get 12 years old involved into this game because it will need new people and entropy is always phun.

Anyways my two cents + you all sucked compared to me and solidus , you know just so you guys don't forget.

Yeah i know you all hate ubi , bla bla. But i am sure some might have betrayed the ubi hate and have tried the mp , so how good or bad is it ?

Perhaps you might give it for free to valve to do all crap they want with it with you being able to Fix/Change it ? This game will need more people if it could get competetive , and valve would also be happy to earn +2-5$ for free from a lot of people ...

College Student Shoots, Kills Home Invader


COLLEGE PARK, Ga. - A group of college students said they are lucky to be alive and theyââ,¬â,,¢re thanking the quick-thinking of one of their own. Police said a fellow student shot and killed one of two masked me who burst into an apartment.

Channel 2 Action News reporter Tom Jones met with one of the students to talk about the incident. ââ,¬Å"Apparently, his intent was to rape and murder us all,ââ,¬Â said student Charles Bailey.

Bailey said he thought it was the end of his life and the lives of the 10 people inside his apartment for a birthday party after two masked men with guns burst in through a patio door.

ââ,¬Å"They just came in and separated the men from the women and said, ââ,¬ËœGive me your wallets and cell phones,ââ,¬â,,¢Ã¢â,¬Â said George Williams of the College Park Police Department.

Bailey said the gunmen started counting bullets. ââ,¬Å"The other guy asked how many (bullets) he had. He said he had enough,ââ,¬Â said Bailey.

Thatââ,¬â,,¢s when one student grabbed a gun out of a backpack and shot at the invader who was watching the men. The gunman ran out of the apartment.The student then ran to the room where the second gunman, identified by police as 23-year-old Calvin Lavant, was holding the women.

ââ,¬Å"Apparently the guy was getting ready to rape his girlfriend. So he told the girls to get down and he started shooting. The guy jumped out of the window,ââ,¬Â said Bailey.

A neighbor heard the shots and heard someone running nearby.ââ,¬Å"And I heard someone say, ââ,¬ËœSomeone help me. Call the police. Somebody call the police,ââ,¬â,,¢Ã¢â,¬Â said a neighbor. The neighbor said she believes it was Lavant, who was found dead near his apartment, only one building away.

Bailey said he is just thankful one student risked his life to keep others alive.ââ,¬Å"I think all of us are really cognizant of the fact that we could have all been killed,ââ,¬Â said Bailey.One female student was shot several times during the crossfire. She is expected to make a full recovery.

Police said they are close to making the arrest of the second suspect.

Hell i've been waiting for news like that for some time with those school shooting and stuff like that around . Good job dude , way to go , more people should be able to have firearms.

Public Discussion / Tips on making a map.

I am bored a bit and have nothing to do so ill post some info which should be considered for devs while creating a map. (Considering that the speed of the game will remain the same + 2vs2)

1st Of all lets talk about objectives. What kind of objectives do we have ? Bomb - Nd - Drop.

How many is the optimal number of objectives ? Depends on the map , if its a warehouse like map with 1 big sector then the optional level is 4-5 . Its very easy to hold 3 objectives which makes that map rather hard for spy , really depends on how many times you can sleep the merc and flash/smoke/chaff his mate while your mate is passing the mines and hacking the nd. A good map shouldn't rely on that to much. Also they should be Either 5 nd's (Hacking objectives preferable linked to each other) or 3 Disc objectives with drops at spawn. You can also try a big sector with 10 or more bomb spots that would be fun. THe time on the bomb should be adjusted , it has never been done in a warehouse like zone (Museum doesn't count , mercs don't camp together in 1 room there)

If its a map like club house (Full of hacking nds) Like spekkio suggested previously it will need SOME if not MANY static traps which LOCK (Note lock and not alarm) the nd so that taz/run won't be that of a super easy tactic. The nds should be coverable and not be that far away from each other. 7-8 seconds by foot . 
Camping tactics should be possible because on this map it will decide the winner its really hard to hold ALL nds  , 2-3 will usually get taken. (With 6 nds on map and 4 need to be taken like club)

Orphanage 1st sector like is really bad. Deppends on luck to much. It is just impossible to hold and that sector will get taken . Experience shows that 3 bombs = very bad for merc , impossible to hold. SPy doesn't need to stand still while blowing up the bomb , he will cover it so stoping it isn't as easy as an nd and a merc can't be in 3 places at the same time which makes 3 bombs in 1 sector a very bad combo.

Disc drops . Its a big problem if you have lag , you just can't stop host drop if you are lagging in some server. Disc drops are very ping reliant on stopping and dropping. If you can't kill that runner with snipe or spray he will most probably drop it. Disc drops like in aqua are a good idea where either take or drop is 'protected' in a way . By a door or something like that.

Another good thing is that there should be +1 or +2 objectives on maps Not more. Better +1 . For example there are 4 objectives you need to take 3. Its better when there are 4 or under in total objectives than you have +1 and 5 and above +2 because taking objectives is very time / camp reliant . Camping +2 objectives is harder so it takes less time to take them and thats why there should be more objectives to take in general. But it really depends on the objectives. If they are mostly hacks then obviously +1 is better if they are mostly bombs/disks then +2 might be okay.


Station like maps are good but a bit edited. You can say that sector 1 is devided in 3 sub sectors there. Spy spawn with fence / Sub zone between spy spawn and discs / Disc zone - each of them are devided by a fence or sorts which sector 1 a bit hard. If you remove the fence between sub zone and hacks the sector becomes nice (hack the doors to nds in ct that usually works). Notice how sector 2 of station is really nice .

Mount Hospital like map ( Small ,compact, long tunnels and a lot of nds). I don't really like maps like that , they are to much based on taz / run / flash / hack / don't get blown up by a mine strategy . If you can do that fine then you will win it for sure. May be i just don't like that tactic to much because if been doing it a lot since the start of ct and probably one of the best guys doing it , so i know how it pisses people off...Well certainly it adds a lot of action elements to the game but also makes it dumb agro like for most , well i actually use stealth in mount but not that much well usually people don't even try to.

Maps are a lot dependable on tactics you use on them. Don't misunderstand me you need to take them into account in creating a map. Its not like i am saying that you should make maps 'privately for snakebit tactics' but just take them into consideration. Okay now lets talk about tactics for maps a bit .

Double teaming or 1 hacks other plays with merc . This tactic is very annoying if you are lagging AND the nd is hard to shoot . For example museum inside nd or polar base container nd . If you lag + hard to shoot its impossible to stop nd against a good pinger . But if its only hard to shoot its still hard , most of the time the other guy will take around 5-6 seconds for sure , and if the agro guy is good then you might say bye bye to the nd . Well you have your friend to help you but usually he can't be all the time with you.

Nd run and hack . When 1 sector 1 merc 1 spy and 2-or more hacking nds that is certainly a big option. Either make a lot of defenses or more time on nds but not to much. Usually getting jumped / cammed / necked means instant loose of nd on this maps because they were probably abused a bit before you got cammed.........

Running between unstopable hacks. You can run between g1/g2 alone vs 1 merc and its 99% sure you will take 1 if your mate doesn't help you. Its just impossible to stop that running in the lift alone. You might go to garden outside but then the spy would usually go to objectives you are far away from. So for the love of god please don't make 2 nds on floor 1 and 2 where you need to go by a lift to stop it. Lift takes 3-4 secs to arrive. Not to mention 1-2 additional secs because of taz + medical kit nearby . Thats one of the worst possible combos in ct possible. Furthermore the lift is blockable by your mate so its not like you can't stop the merc from going up or down but its a bit harder to accomplish.

Make some places to hide here and there. They are needed to regenerate health and not to turn the game into run/taz/flash. Many maps encourage that because there are simply no places to hide . Museum cafe for example. Sector 3 warehouse for most but people from pt know where to hide in there .

Museum and Ware are classic maps in SvM so i would like to seem them return in ps. Museum should get it random lasers system and mono vent  back. Random lasers SHOULD lock the doors not the nds in exo / mono corridors and Ware sector 1 needs more nds. For example 1 between the huge crates  and 1 more under the 3 crates hole which is shielded pretty good . (Its near ladder )

Lets return to the tactics. Some nds are just dodge nade / hack  - dodge nade / hack . (Digger behind wall nd or Schremen up nd ) This nds are not that bad . Takes skill to dodge nades so i am not really against them .

Greetings everyone . A lot of people know me and a lot of new people probably don't , so i will explain what is this post for .

( If you don't want to read the long useless info in this post than read only the highlighted areas )

What do i want to do ?

Lately i have been playing a bit and it was always hard to find a good team to play against if i am with someone other than my mate and almost impossible if i was with my mate Solidus  , but last night i had some good games with some team which was using fakes  and those were very good games .

So i thought about something very interesting . It would be very nice to know when teams play and where are they from to minimize the lag . PLEASE POST THE TIME DURING WHICH YOU USUALLY PLAY WITH GMT ZONE !!! ALSO POST WHERE ARE YOU FROM !!! YOUR CONTACT DATA (XFIRE , MSN ETC ) !!! YOUR TEAM NAME + PLAYERS IN IT !!!

It is very annoying when i waste a lot of time searching someone to play against but don't find anyone and waste my limited time ( Well i don't play a lot anymore as a lot of you know and same goes for my teammate solidus ) and i think i am not the only person with these problem .

So please post the info that i mentioned + WHEN YOU HAVE NO ONE TO PLAY AGAINST AND YOU ARE WITH SOMEONE PLAYING PLEASE SAY THAT IN YOUR XFIRE STATUS

Also this thread could be used to search for teams to play against . For Example : Post time ( WITH GMT ) + Team name when you are going to play tomorrow and today and people if they check this forum or thread might answer ! If you want to use this thread to search for a team to play against please post the search post in BLUE COLOR

Well if people post their info here it would be nice and i will edit 1st post and will make a big list of teams when they play + their region , etc .


I would like some old teams to return and i hope that would happen . Teams like Ck , Us , Dfa , Sw etc.. Well old players , since a lot of you still play from time to time like us but i think don't have anyone to play against . For example : I have seen SITHDUKE playing like 3 days ago :-) . It would be nice to play against him and his teammate if he has one .


I AM HOPING THAT THIS WILL MAKE THIS GAME A BIT MORE FUN FOR THE OLD AND NEW TEAMS ALIKE


There are usually a some problems during matches vs teams . There are a lot of small one but the biggest one is probably LAG . SO here is a suggestion how you can cope with this problem so that people won't whine about it during matches . PLAY 3 MAPS ON ONE HOST THAN 3 MAPS ON ANOTHER HOST !!! OR PLAY BEST OF 5 ON ONE HOST THAN SWITCH THE HOST . ( IF its 4-5 you need 2 point advantage to win 4-6 or 5-7 , well you got the point . NOTE THIS IS ALL A SUGGESTION TO HELP A BIT SO PLEASE DON'T flame those suggestions.


P.S. KEEP THIS THREAD CIVIL . Take all your hatred to Pm and not this topic , I hope that people will eagerly post and will be active here . On The side note : Sc community is kind of split between different forums so please spread the word about this topic on them if you have the means to do so!!! ( Small note : Don't post a link to this on ubi forums because it is illegal there i think )

Well its not completely impossible for you guys to win ;-) . Because it seems that there are 4 phases in general and last one ends at 31 august 2009.

Since a lot of people are against inverted neck grab which in my opinion is also very hard to implement . It is possible to add this alternative . It could be done from ledge grab positions of certain altitude ( museum altitude is the optimal one i think ) . What you do is basicly drop down with slow walk , grab the ledge and if a merc passes under you or near you , you can leg choke hold him . If you are stealthy you can ambush him like that and i think it would be fun .

The rope thing is almost the same but it has unlimited altitude range but the draw back is that you need time to prepare the throw and time to come out of it like 1-2 sec to enter and 1 sec to get out which makes you very easy to kill for snipers . Plus you could make a small sound when you take out the rope ( Grappling sound from CT ). ( You stand on top of the sealing or whatever near ledge + 1 it should be possible with some object in front of you like small fence or...... forgot the word well just an example : From garden 2nd floor to garden 1st floor . It should be possible even with the fence in the way.)



Imho the 2nd idea is better i think but that 1st one has it pros and cons too. If 1st relies on speed with which you can perform it , the 2nd one relies on knowledge of the map and places + help from your teammate . Don't say that it will be easy to know where he can rope you because there are tons of ceilings on most of the maps and you can't just ignore all of them , well you will be able probably but that will significantly increase the time you waste on movement .

In my opinion an idea of Death Match in SvM wasn't that bad . It is true that good players rarely played deathmatch or even didn't play it at all but it is attractive to newcomers . It is also fun even for skilled players from time to time. Ofcourse less skilled players overabused it in SvM , but it also attracted players to the game . As time passed a lot of them moved to story mode and some stayed in Death Match .


Project Stealth should take in account that this is a mod for Unreal Tournament 3 . What is Unreal really about ? Is it about sneaking ? And snaping necks ? No ! Its about you pounding your way througth people with Rifles , Machine guns , Bio guns , Chain guns , Redemers and whatever else you can find . Will Project Stealth be fun for them to play ?  I guess , NOT ! But a DeathMatch mode can be used as a bridge between Unreal and Ps . Ofcourse it dosen't have the TRUE essence of SvM , but more people means more fun . Its not very interesting to play with same opponents 10000000 times over and over again .


As for mode itself it can be a bit different . In my opinion the DeathMatch mode in SvM really sucked donkey balls . It was way too long and way to eazy to play . It was dumbed down to mercs having no gadjets and spies having no gadjets which striped all the tactics away . It always came down to stupid 1 jump or 2x spy flash charge or merc camping in the corner or anywhere else he couldnt be grabed or killed .


Now in my opinion this mode should be a bit different so all players can enjoy this mode . Even good players who detest this mode very much . Rememmber the good old times of Pt deathmatches which were actually good from time to time .


Deathmatch is made for aggro. So ill write what , in my opinion , it should be like.

1 : Let Double Jump have an astounding return in DeathMatch .
2 : Allow all Gadjets for Spies and Mercs which will allow more tactics to both sides .
3 : Make mercs weapons more deadly but remove the HuD . ( Like any Call of Duty Hardcore servers )
4 : Devide the Existing maps in Sectors like , For example , Warehouse has 3 sectors . And force mercs to go from Sector to Sector . Something like if you stay in Sector 1 or Sector 2 you will die but if you go to Sector 3 it will be okay . But make all the sectors exesable for spies all the time .
5 : Balance the Life / Time ratio . In SvM it was retarded .
6 : Add some cool aggro tricks ....   Like for example spies punch hurts the mercs for half hp and 2 punches kill..... or 3 . So that stupid charge wouldnt be that useless ...



So what do you think about this ? Will it help PS get more popular  ? Will it help bring some Unreal players to PS ? 

Imho . I think that this is a really good idea to get new people to play ps . A balanced DeathMatch mode can make this game even more popular than CT althougth marketing probably plays a significant role in this too.


Note : Please don't say something ' We don't need those damn 11 or 12 year old in Ps ' . Any player is just a player and if he can make this game more competitive and a great sucess i don't mind.

Last but not least . A question to the devs . Will it be possible to implement something like this ? Or are you guys already decided for it to be more of a Hardcore Player MoD ? If there gonna be only 20 people playing it , it will suck ......
