Hi,
so in all previous Splinter Cell Versus games you could adjust gamma and brightness and get a significant advantage by being able to have a good sight in darkness.
Will PS be able to counter these things? Locked gamma and brightness settings for the game etc.?

Hey,

didn't know if this is actually allowed in the Mapping forum so I will ask here.
Im generally horribad in designing and stuff like that. so are there actually places (like dedicated websites etc.) where it is possible to get textures and props for free to build maps with for use in UE4?,

Public Discussion / Gadget Idea: SecuCam
February 18, 2014, 08:14:27 PM
Hey,

Thought a bit about how mercs could have better overview over the map or places that are hard to always have an eye on.
How about a camera gadget for mercs so they can place a camera which they can look trough after it was placed?
It would be similar to the gadget that mercs could use in CT to check all the cameras on the map, but they can place 1 camera on their own (if they place a new one the previous disappears)
It could be placed at a wall by hand or with the gun (like spys that can shoot sticky cams) but it should also have a sound if the merc is watching and moving the camera.
It could also have a battery life or something so that you have to replace it when the battery dies to balance it a bit more.
Overall it would give mercs a bit more overview for hard places if the maps are quite big or have many sneak places for spys.

Another thing which im not sure of is that the camera could work on its own if the merc is not actively looking trough it, so it would work like normal cameras in CT which detected spys when they moved in its line of sight.

Yeah thread title says everything I guess :p

I will start: Im waiting for the BF4 DLC release tomorrow and for Thief release this month (which didn't really look that good to me yet :/ )

What are you guys playing or waiting for?

Hi,
Thread title pretty much says everything. So you use the UEngine, I guess that means you can use the map editor but what about texture etc?
Do you also need to be a graphics artist to create your own maps because of the textures etc. or are there high quality textures available for free working with the unreal map editor?
And when you want to play your custom maps with other will they need to download it beforehand or will that be possible when joining the lobby? Did you already think about how to handle that?

Im waiting for this game since it has been announced because the old Chaos Theory SvM was the best multiplayer experience that I had in my life until today.
Do you think that you can give something big this year? Like a longer video or maybe a date for something like an alpha/beta? :p

Hey,

a new video just got released, you can actually choose between 4v4 and 2v2 classic mode, this actually made me think about buying it now,
if it also has the old equipment usage (both sides more than one equipment) and hopefully also some oldschool maps. Let's hope and see ;)

Public Discussion / Old CT Maps?
December 03, 2012, 01:12:20 AM
Hi,

I'm very excited about this project nearly since it started and I don't know if this question was already answered but,
will you also implement ("rebuild") some good old CT maps like Aquarius, Club House and Warehouse (and many others)? I really loved these maps
and I so want to see them back in this game (actually I think all maps in CT were really fun and good :D)
I also think if you could do this, you shouldnt "recreate" the maps and just build them like in the good old CT, because in my
opinion these maps were extremely well balanced.
