User Interface

Do you guys happen to know what you want the HUD, main menu, or crosshairs to look like? I'm trying to get an overall design and mental picture.

That's something for the UI artists to work on. We're going the assemble the final team and then we're going to get some concept art in. The concept art will have an impact on the style of the user interface. There will  be many internal polls on the graphical identity of the project and it will very likely be different from Splinter Cell's identity. We're cloning the game but the graphics are going to be different so there is a little liberty for the designers there. How different our identity will be from Chaos Theory's versus mode is hard to say it at this time.

Oh, this just came in: Project Stealth developers confirmed that their lobby interface will be A LOT better the Chaos Theory versus mode lobby interface.

better meaning functionality over design.  DA UI is beautiful but unusable.  I would rather our UI artist keep it 2d and easy to code.  We dont have a lot of resources...so its more important to get working features instead in a one click heiarchy then anything else.

Maybe it wouldn't be a bad idea to start by keeping the interface and lobby in Windows and to go fullscreen once a game starts. That's easy to code and it'll run fast.

sounds good...of course, if we can make this thing work....we can do something a lot better at a later date.
