Video Editting in Film Industry

Just curious, is there such thing as video editting job in a film industry? Like as in you sit on some video editting software and your job is to video edit?

Cause I just smell bullshit on that...

Any movie that uses blue-/greenscreens probably got some people like that. However these people have other functions as well... i guess...
