so i just got CT for the PC...

and it's buggy and weird. 0_o. i used to play on the Xbox, and i have a Geofrce 8800GT, on full settings. i notice no difference betwen SM1.1 and SM3.0. is this a bug in the game? What do i need to get this game up and going (maps, tweaks, etc)?
oh, and sam's goggles are a bit weird, like they have a weird pixelated effect to them. Unlike the effect in Xbox. Oh, and my flashlight doesnt work in multiplayer. it just doesnt show up. How do i fix this game?

A lot of people play the game, even though they've got an 8*00. It's anoying not to be able to see the merc's torchlight, I know, but you just got to get used to it. If anything, it's not a bug in the game, but an issue with the videocard.

Well, I've downloaded all the maps, that have been uploaded to various pages on the net (pretty sure I didn't miss any), and I'll send you some, if you add me on xfire as: sorng (I'll be back home again on tuesday, where I've got my desktop (where all the maps are stored) insted of this laptop). But I'll recommend you to download MR. MIC's Mappack v5 from http://www.splintercellworld.com/index.php?pid=30502 first, since it contains all the most played maps in the multiplayer mode. You could also try out the French site called www.splintercellmaps.com, which has a bunch of the uploaded custom maps, though it can be pretty hard to use, if you don't speak the language. I think you need to make a profile on the site to download maps, but I'm not sure.

Btw, Death Valley, Squat and Deftech 2 are maps for Pandora Tomorrow and not for Chaos Theory.  :)

Steel Squat is for CT, yes, and Squat is for PT.  :) - as far as I know, the one for CT was an updated and much better version of the one from PT.

And yes, a 7100 will definitely work.

No chance, not on the highest settings possible, however it should be very playable. I have an 8800gts too, you get used to the no light situation and just start using laser:P its no biggie really. If not i'll just have to send u my uba light hax!!!!! liek when u turnZ it on teh spy getZ flashedZ!
