Hey guys. I thought I should post this idea: spies being able to perform Parkour moves (it would be a really tough challenge for the animation and programming team, but it would be worth it). i do parkour for a while so i could help you out with the moves. For more information about Parkour and some basic moves, visit this site: http://www.americanparkour.com/component/option,com_frontpage/Itemid,1/

We are aiming on getting some special moves in (can not promise it), but they need to be effective for gameplay reasons.
AFAIK, free running is more with the nice moves, while parkour is more effective for dodging obstacles.

Parkour is mainly the art of movement, and it's aim is to move through the shortest path from point A to point B; Free-running is more good-looking than Parkour (even though it was created from the Parkour concept), because it features some tricking moves (backflips, aerials, ect). They're both aimed at overcoming obstacles, so i'd like to see either of them in the final release of this project.

Yeah, parkour would be nice on some "open" maps - say some "ruins" owned by the military for unknown reasons, or a simple "escape" level where mercs got sniper rifles and are on some rooftops, and the spies are running away with their objectives and stuff in city-like environment. I don't mean that it would be open like GTA or something, but it would be cool it we had like 4-6 streets crossing through the map  ;D

i think its a great idea. and it will be good to put in PS some SCDA escape moves like break trough the window or slide under small holes in walls. + (it maybe crazy) how about parashuting? then it you will be able to spawn in some kind of plane like in SC series, pareshute in any location and it is a good reason to create maps with streets and roofs.

Meh - spies would have too much freedom.
How about giving one of these to a spy once he completes an objective?

Lmao at that suggestion liquid.  "You have completed an objective, and are awarded by being Altair for 30 seconds!"

I'd love to have Free Running, in all honesty, but it would be really hard to make.  Keep in mind that AC had a huge team working 24/7 on the game.  I have faith in our team, but damn, I'm not sure it's possible with the resources they have.  Atleast, not a system as big as AC, but some aspects I'm sure would be totally possible with our guys.  ;D

I meant the parachute thingy -.-

I suggested a system quite a while ago, where you could perform a few basic vaults and the roll by precise timing. This would allow you to move slightly faster over obstacles and would be usefull when your getting shot at and need to escape quick. But you have to keep your nerves cool and focus to pull it off, so it would be hard, but you'd get a nice feeling of success when you pull off a combination of these moves to escape the mercs when you were almost certain of your death. Of course the speed increase shouldn't be huge, but let's say doing a underbar instead of grabbing and jumping over a railing (the old way where you bump into a rail and then press jump and you climb over it) would describe it.

Also this would work for the roll, as now in CT we have the vision glitch which allows you to get up a lot faster. So why not implement a way where when you press the roll button just before you hit the ground and perform a PK roll, allowing you to get up fast and continue running, instead of getting slammed to the ground and have to regain your balance and speed for a moment. Of course there should be a certain height that after you jump, you can't do a roll because you come from too high and the human body has its limits.

I agree to everything you've just said.
