I planned the Merc for Phase 2, but the other teammembers thought it was too much work which, I have to agree, distracted from the real purpose: Phase 3 and Phase 4.

AFAIK Phase 3 hasn't started yet. We hope we'll be able to send in some alpha-version. Depends on how far we'll get. The beta version, again, if all goes well, should be our entry for Phase 4.

So if you skip a phase does it matter?

Voted for Linux.
And with Icculus'es latest mailing list entry earlier this month, the client shouldn't be toooooo far away anymore.

Alright i figured this would be an appropriate place to ask this question without starting a new topic to ask it.

I own a Dell Studio 15. Here are the specs:

32 bit operating system
IntelÃ,® Coreâ„¢ 2 Duo T6400 (2.00GHz/800Mhz FSB/2MB cache)
2.00 GB RAM
Video card: 256MB ATI Mobility Radeon HD 3450
Windows Vista

So... I acknowledge the fact I dont know too much about the video card/ pc gaming area all together but this game looks like something i would definitely invest money in to be able to play it. I am originally a ps2 console owner and splinter cell orig- chaos theory. So, my question is, is my pc up to par- if not- what steps i would have to take to make it so (suggested cards or other items and estimated prices).

Or should i just invest my money in a console such as the 360 or ps3 hoping either this mod becomes available on the ps3 or cross my fingers and see is convictions is legit on the 360.

Thanks in advance.

voted for windows, because thats what I have,  although I think that PS should be made for all OS's / consols (when ready)  to give everyone an equal chance to play,   just my thoughts.

Ok, so i shouldnt have a problem?

Next question: Logitech controller?

Is that what pc'ers used to play splintercell on the pc

or mouse and keyboard?

i personally cant see playing as a spy using a mouse and keyboard.

Your graphics card might be on the slow side. It's a laptop right?
The rest is ok.

Spy with keyboard is easy: mouse for camera and keyboard for movement. In most cases faster and more accurate than analog sticks ;)

to solve that problem you can use a program like xpadder or pinnacle profiler which will easily emulate the keyboard and mouse to a controller.

Its what alot of folks are doing right now to play Splintercel chaos theory Versus with a controller on the pc, who aren't keyboard  and mouse savvy and despite that ubi hardcoded the keyboard buttons  , theres ur work around  :)

-Thanks Murdy for da Sig <3  xD

I tried the xpadder thing and it worked pretty good.  However, it still bugs me that I have to push a button to walk in slow mode, and push the same button to get out of slow mode.  Basically, I'd love to have "slow mode" done away with.  This is where the sensitivity of the analog sticks is finally supreme.  You only have to ease up on how far you press the the stick (that's what she said), and it goes gradually slower.  Other than that, yes, mouse owns controllers.  I admit.

How about a mouse-wheel sensitivity thing?  The more you scroll it forward, the faster you spy moves when pushing a directional button?  The more that it's scrolled down the slower your spy moves.  Could that work?
