Actually, this is a general pondering. Is it a prerequisite to know photo shop if I am a 3D modeler? I have been modeling using max for around 3 years or so. It's a short time to be thinking about getting myself out there but I strongly believe that my stuff is good enough. I know that my downfalls are modeling high poly model, say in, zbrush for example as I have not had much experience with it. My forte is more box modeling.

If I need to know photo shop then I guess I will try and get my hands on it and just learn it. One of my advantages in life is that I'm one of those annoying people who can pick up things relatively quickly. Say, where it would take someone to learn something in a year, it would take me around 2-3 months, depending on how hard I would find it. I'm not trying to brag or make myself sound good in the slightest, I'm just trying to get across that I am good and learning things. I would like to know if you have a place available who doesn't know photo shop but can model what you want?

Thanks in advance!

: UPDATE :

I just read the whole rules thing. Sorry about that. I was never one to read the instruction manual.

Hey,

Thanks for posting.
I'll have a few chats with our other modellers and level designers to see if your low-poly skills can be used :)

I expect to have an answer within 3-4 days.

Hey,

Already had a talk, and it's really essential to know how to texture.
I suggest to read through some photoshop tutorials and UV-mapping-tutorials.

Unfortunately we dont have the manpower to teach you them :(

Good luck!

You can try again after you've got a bit of experience with it :).

Hey thanks for the feedback, I wasn't expecting to join yet to be honest. I've had experience with photoshop and unwrapping UVW's so I know the basics, but I can't compete with most of the guy's at work with it so I will have to get better. I'll try again in the few coming weeks.
