i don't know about any demo besides the beta, which featured clubhouse only.

Didn't CT versus beta just have Club House? And didn't it work fine?
CT had Club and Museum. CT is far from balanced, so I don't know how you'd define "it worked fine."

I think the main point of the beta will be to work out the bugs.

We should follow the RTS model of team balancing. Where such changes occur through patches over the lifetime of the game.

Thread winner. Shows dedication.

I honestly don't think another map could have solved that or most of the other problems of the game.

Right, so aren't you contradicting your statement of the "beta maps working fine"?

Programmers making patches for the game are what will make the game work better.

No, I'm not? One map is enough for finding bugs and similar. Ubisoft were just too lazy to fix them in CT.

Although, I'm going to play PS to see what's glitchy/buggy anyways.

Probably a lot of things will be buggy with the first release. That's where the beta testers and bug reporting comes in.

That's what I'm expecting. Not this perfectly molded simulation. We're here to help you. Its already enough that you guys have been working on this for a few years. I'm excited to see the outcome.

Are you going to have something directly in the beta lobby for reporting bugs, or do you just want us to come to the forum to report things?

the only problem with this is  I think that you need people who are dedicated to test because if you get some  joe shmoe then your not gunna get any progress, esp if its a system like reporting to forums.

That's BS. Just because you're dedicated doesn't make you specially useful, nor give you the sole right to beta test. If we would do a closed beta, we would chose players randomly (just like every other closed beta out there), else it would be unfair.

I'd suicide if I wasn't chosen.

quit trying to make me look like im the bad guy, I simply just said what I simply because I  want the best for this mod and Im not just talking about all for myself here, take me, westfall , Snakebit ,HarkoninVSC, Yayzor, Nosis, Exodus , Noisewater, ISA Xplode, CougarC.A.T. , Jag, Xan99 , Amn23, to test to name a few , and (sorry those who were left out cause i could go on and on)  who actually know whats up to give you proper feedback.

If you choose people at random, take example , battlefield heros theres soo many people who just Play simply because they wanna play , Not based upon the meat and potatoes or the heart of issues that need to be addressed.

It's either that or open beta, suit yourself.

Oh and the: "you're dedicated", wasn't you as in Agent, but you in general.

Gawain

anything else but open beta would probably be suicidal for this mod:
-there would be way too few people for a closed beta
-beta is great free advertisement
-people waited for ages to play this mod and are used to bugs thx to ubi anyways, no need to drive them away with even more waiting time
-more people find more different bugs due to different system configurations, gaming habits etc. and allow more realistic network tests
-it's np problem to form a group of more dedicated testers directly reporting to the devs instead of the forum; just ask them directly so the devs don't get spammed

but back on thread topic:
what beta activity would you guys like most?
