There certainly were ways to counter EMF ghosting as spy. The example you use, Museum, is a bottleneck at the beginning in general. Yes, if a merc zooms in at the only vent you can come through, he's going to see your EMF ghost. So what? As you said, just roll through and get to the wires. Even without ghosting, the merc can just move a room back and sit on the next vent with the flashlight or laser locked on you while the other hangs around the door/windows. As for getting around it: partner can shock, you can shock, you can wait until the merc looks in another direction, you can keep a distance on larger maps, you can stay behind objects that are solid in EMF or areas that are difficult to ghost, you can hit the merc with a chaff.

Changing EMF ghosting isn't going to significantly change anything. If a merc is EMF ghosting you, most of the time he already knows where you are.

Like I said, people have to get over this notion that they should be able to maneuver out in the open in front of the merc unnoticed.

I understand what you're saying about getting around it. It's common sense. However, it should not have been an issue in the first place. I already had to watch my footprints on the ceiling along with turning on visions or usig the shocker. I shouldn't have to be concerned about if some merc can magically see me through a ceiling though I'm not doing anything to give away my position. Again, it has already been solved... So back to the pictures.

It's not to hard to switch over and refresh pretty frequently when you're playing a game windowed, especially when it pauses after every fight to give you a score summary.

In any case, I can content myself with the knowledge that I'm still better than the guy who's pathetic enough to want to cheat at a video game, and stupid enough to think we'd help him do it, right?
