well i dont mind rank but it really brings out the bad in scct. everyone in rank mode is n00b and they always complain( lmao i shouldnt be talking im level 8 in that rank scct lmao) but still then cheaters come about and so on.

I'd much rather see a full-fledged stats system like BF2 has, except that it keeps track of stuff that's pertinent to SvM.

goodkebab

dont forget,  rank scores are stored on UBI servers....which is an asset we do not have.

Lurch

I assume you cant have your stats (as Spekkio mentioned) being tracked and saved onto your comp into "Project stealth folder" in a mod for UT3.

Storing something in the client means it can be altered... You'd have to do some serious encryption, but it would still be able to decrypt it for someone skilled. Or even just copy the file in question from one client to another, efficiently duplicating a rank.

Server storaged is possible, but not worth the extra load on the server, IMO. I'd like to minimize the stuff the server has to do, to keep it running steady.

Doesn't matter - it should be for personal reference only.

Exactly. I mean, it would be nice to have a leaderboard and all, but I'd really only be interested in myself and probably some other people I play with as well. I could care less about random Joe Schmo being in #1 with 5,000 necks because he decided to spend 4 hours getting constant neckgrabs on a server. If you're going to alter your own stats to enlarge your e-penis, then that's just sad.

frvge

omg omg omg you said the word e-penis. I think I am going to censor that to e-dick. Or not  ???

CT has a game log.....which we might be able to duplicate.

And I am all up for an unlockable rank system like DA (sans texture maps)  or an honour based rank system that the player can choose so that he can let everyone know his skill level without there being any advantage to cheating or exploiting.
