System upgrade question

ok so i upgraded my desktop. i can now play graphically demanding games and all :)

so the question is, should i install SCDA? since i can at least run it now according to the specs. does anybody still play SCDA in the versus mode?

SCDA still has DRM. I personally try to minimize the games with DRM on my PC.

Digital Rights Management, like SafeDisc, StarForce and Securom. It protects the rights of the publishers of course, not the customers'.

Double Agent should run pretty well on an upgraded system, my laptop plays it with 60+ FPS (Dual Core 1900mhz, GeForce 8400M, 3GB RAM), just keep in mind the most annoying bugs:

- Some events not triggering meaning you have to restart (which is different than reloading your saved game) the level (happens in Kinsasha, but also in Shanghai)
- You have to scroll your speed one bit above the lowest speed before you can crack safes
- Visual glitches which happen now and then

Other than poor performance at parts where it shouldn't, it should play very well.

Don't forget to install version 1.02a, which removes the DRM (as in: Install an unprotected EXE - NO-CD crack if you like to call it like that -) and maes the unlocking of extra's working ;)

lol yeah i remember the safe craking bug, it pissed me off so bad when i didnt know what was goin on in that part of the game

ps. what is that all that 4gb crap? accumulated  save games? or  game extras/ videos or what?

Depending on your version (US or EU), it will also install Italian/Spanish/German sound files. Other than that, there is a shitload of files in the System directory that don't need to be there (Dll's, image files, useless ini's), remove that all and you spare quite some space. If you decide to remove multiplayer, you will free another 2GB.

The SP of DA is very buggy on PC.  It runs fine on my Radeon 3850, graphics wise, but there are tons of problems with the Geforce 8-series cards, especially the 8800 series.

It looks like they are totally ignoring the story of DA by brining back Sarah, so I'd only install it if you want to play SvU.
