The Death of Xbox SvM

So as we all know M$ is shutting down all of their xbox live v.1 servers.  No more Xbox live SvM or any other game for that matter.  I will not get to play it on console anymore after tonight.  After this post I will go play my final hour (tears  :'() and try to enjoy it.  It's like a freaking movie.  When the clock strikes midnight, it will be no more.

I was playing earlier today and trying to get some people learned about Project Stealth and maybe pick up some guys before the imminent doom.  After explaining it, some people were like "Hey, what is a mod?"  Fortunately, and surprisingly, there were quite a few people who actually knew about Project stealth and check the website occasionally.  I couldn't believe it. 

So the popularity and hope isn't solely with the PC guys regarding this mod.  Just thought you guys might want to know that people know about this even on xbox live.  At least, the ones who cared enough about SvM to give it one more go before it bites the dust tonight.

Good luck.  And also, put more of your stuff on the home page so that it's easier and quicker to see.  A lot of the guys said that they just check the home page and haven't seen anything new since the new website skin.  Maybe that was the most recent new thing - lol

Yeah, I was pretty depressed when I left my SCCT disk at my other house, which I rarely visit. I haven't gotten to play it in like 6 months. I thought I brought it, but I guess I didn't.

Tricks your xbox into thinking your playing a LAN game, but you're actually playing over the internet. I used to use it for Halo 1 since it didn't have live, but I'll be using it for SCCT when I get my disk. Download it and set it up, maybe we can get a revival going sometime.

@ papaskull, I know ive been pretty harsh to you in the past , but thats only because I just wanted you to not become one of those forum lurkers.. who just are all talk and no action / don't contribute to the community , i mean If ya don't even play the game with the community that you post on about, then what good are ya ?

There is also that xlink kai thing that I could connect to.  The thing is that it's probably pretty hard to get a good game going with some good people who want to play all at the same time.  Which countries/time zones are you guys at?

I'll probably just resort to dl'ing that extra program so that CT works with my graphics card.  If it works, then cool.  If not, no biggie. 

Btw, a lot of the guys on xbl who knew about PS doubted that it would ever be released.  I tried to convince them that it would be, but the site just seems so barren and forgotten (apparently).

And Rocket that's a bit harsh man.  I'll play with all of you guys when PS comes out.  Chaos theory is just too much of a hassle for my PC and I don't really want to have to go "through the gauntlet" (as someone put it) just to have a shot at playing a decent match for a game that is already dead.  When I get desperate for SvM I might give in if the xlink/xbconnect things don't work out.  There's still hope agent.
