Well, that's fine, as long as I'm aiming at the spy's head.

Not really... ;)

Yes really... ;)

On realistic, your aiming reticle snaps to the enemy's head if you are aiming at their body when you push the zoom button.  That should be for rookies, but it's on realistic.

That doesn't make rookie mode 'play the same as realistic'.

No, I'm saying it makes it fucking easy, and it might as well be rookie mode.  On "realistic" mode, they shouldn't be doing the headshots for you.  DUH.

You're Sam Fisher, you are not suppose to miss your shots.

You must be sarcastic here.  What the fuck ever happened to playing the game?  If you don't aim for the head then you shouldn't get a headshot.  Now, they hold your hand in order to make you feel cool, EVEN ON THE HARDEST DIFFICULTY.  If I line up for a nipple shot then give me a nipple shot.  Nothing takes me out of the experience more, nothing makes me feel LESS like Sam Fisher, than to see my cursor automatically go to the enemy's head.  It's insulting.  It doesn't make me feel like Sam to see the computer auto-headshot what should be a gut shot.   It does not belong in the hardest difficulty let alone the splinter cell franchise.

If you want a nipple shot you should play leasure suit larry or get the PC version.

Though I wonder, does it even matter where you shoot them? Like if you shoot them in their feet they will dance on one leg? (Like seen in GTA4)

No it doesn't matter. You always get headshots.
Even when you don't want them.
And your name is Chuck.

Well, seeing as how a headshot is an instant kill and a body shot is not, I'd say it matters where you shoot them.

Duh.

Besides laws of nature, will npc's react differently on where they are shot?

Yes, they live or die depending on where they are shot.  I'd say that's a pretty important reaction, Dwarf.

I'm saying that instead of shooting someone where they will not die instantly, the game rewards you for no reason and kills them instantly.  Why?

This game holds your hand more than any game I've seen in a long, long time.

Wh1tE_Dw4rF

So let's say I pretend that the Sam Fisher I play is really, REALLY pissed off, I could torture people by shooting in their toes one by one and they will become cripple, then move on to their hands - limbs -head to finish them off? Awesome.

Neither you nor myself have any clue what you are talking about.

What I get from this is:

"The game is 'Helping' you do the thing you are already going to do. Making the game even faster by not having to manually aim 100% outright. Dumbed down? Perhaps, but then again... You were going to do it already. It's like if I got pissed because someone helped me clean dishes after a big dinner. They would have gotten done anyway since I was already doing it, but I COULD complain because that means I don't get 100% of the credit for doing them.

Also...

Realistically you do die from a head shot. Though realistically you yourself would probably be dead from any shot to your body considering games don't account for Blood loss, major organs, internal bleeding, shock, or anything of the sort. Making a black and white situation out of 'You die if I shoot you here, but if I shoot you HERE *points at leg* you will live' just puts in some sort of torture mechanic into play.

If you wanted a game that gave some sort of hit detection based on certain spots on the body then you played the wrong game. Sam is meant to make quick work of the people he encounters... Not torture them with nipple shots and things of the same such."

...or something like that...
If you haven't noticed, I'm REALLY good at making a simple response into a wall of text.

Not everyone will play Conviction on their console with auto-aim.
