Neither you nor myself have any clue what you are talking about.

Not everyone will play Conviction on their console with auto-aim.

It's not even strictly auto aim, it just does what any console game would; if you aim close to a guards head, the aim will align automatically for you. But it doesn't just aim straight to the head, and if the guard were to move for example the aim doesn't stay on his head, it's not a lock on. Seemingly FarleyFan, you feel the need to hate this game for very minor reasons.

every pc player that buys it betrays his gaming platform.
stop the crappy console ports ffs

And anybody who shuns this game without even getting their facts straight is pretty fucking dumb. How do you betray a gaming platform by buying a game, let alone a good one?

Farley4Fan

There are tons of things that make this game way easier than it should be, and this mandatory lock on (that you probably don't even realize is happening) is just one way.  That's what I'm really complaining about dude.

I dont even know how u guys are even arguing....conviction is a fuc*king joke...its not splinter cell anymore. UBISOFT completely stripped away every classic element splinter cell introduced, and replaced them all with generic kiddy action sequences that suck. Mark and Execute is the most dumbest thing ever, and does all the work for you...im sorry but if i want to watch somebody shoot 5 guys in a row without breaking a sweat, ill just watch the show 24 or the movie diehard. ubisoft is complete thrash now

conviction blows, i played the demo on realistic , and boy it was anything but realistic. If thats what ubisoft thinks realistic gameplay is then they are complete retards, i ran through the first level in 5 minutes. the game is thrash and if u bought it then ur a dumbass

Alright, so I just played the first few maps on normal to get the hang of the controls. Hell I personally find it quite challenging to be honest! Died the first few times because I got spotted and all the lights turned on.

But now I sort of got the basic hang of it I'm looking forward to the upcoming levels. It's quite nice to play a predator.

Never liked any 3rd person shooter because apparantly I can't seem shoot anything due the camera positioning which sort of disorientates me in a wierd way so it forces me personally to use stealth as a tool which Conviction supplements perfectly. So far I haven't had regrets for actually paying Ubisoft's bonus. OMG for real!

I think it can be a good game, just not a good SC-game. Depends mostly on the bad premise and the direction of the story and the dumbed down gameplay mechanics.

Yeah it's an enjoyable game, but the old games make it look like trash (gameplay and graphics wise)

Quotemost dumbest

Little Baby Pig, I agree with your assessment again, but please, for the love of God, stop saying "most dumbest".  I've already warned you about the danger it presents.

"The game is 'Helping' you do the thing you are already going to do. Making the game even faster by not having to manually aim 100% outright. Dumbed down? Perhaps, but then again... You were going to do it already. It's like if I got pissed because someone helped me clean dishes after a big dinner. They would have gotten done anyway since I was already doing it, but I COULD complain because that means I don't get 100% of the credit for doing them.

i always wondered how console players justified needing auto aim to themselves

man this forum is so educational

which facts?
your decisions as a consumer matter. sale numbers is all that big pulishers like ubisoft give a crap about nowadays.

Haha. I thought that too!

i was gonna win this match anyway, so who minds auto-win?  ::)

Farley4Fan

Stone, I'm going to win this debate anyway, so why doesn't my mouse/keyboard just take over?

That would be so great and stuff.

Cronky's defending a dumb idea because it's "new?" You don't say!

Your stating the same things over and over again in the hope that your argument succeeds, whereas I'm actually pointing out why I believe your wrong, and thus far you haven't offered a counter argument to anything I've said.

The facts about the game. Also, you don't know what publishers such as Ubisoft want; for a start, sales numbers only equates to the revenue that Ubisoft makes, that does not take into account the costs of running the business. Secondly, of course profit is the priority, this is the same for business selling a product/service, but Ubisoft still make quality games to this day, despite the target audience being casual gamers.

Little Baby PiG

A 7 yr old boy could beat conviction on realistic mode...the game is no challenge and is a disgrace...casual gaming is destroying video games
