Do people still play it? Are the original xbox servers for it down since microsoft discontinued original xbox? Do people play the pc version?

frvge

A triple yes. The amount of PC players is low, but the good thing of SvM is that it only takes 4 players total to get a full server :)

i guess its time to pick a copy of SC:CT pc then until this mod comes out :)

Make sure to get the Steam version. The single player, if you choose to play that, works only on modern systems when using the Steam version. Should be cheap too!

i just bought a copy from amazon, im only interested in SVM though, i've played the shit outta the single player on xbox. Will the multiplayer still work on a retail cd, and let me play with steam buyers? Cost me Ã,£2.50 :P

Ehh? I'm running it on a very good PC myself, retail version. Do you mean operating system? In that case I have XP Service Pack 3.

:D

will the steam version work on vista 64 bit, cause i bought it and installed it and it said it would not work

frvge

According to my info, yes. The Steam version doesn't have the annoying Starforce that doesn't work on 64-bit systems. I can run CT's singleplayer on 64-bit Windows 7.

can anybody else confirm this?

Cronky

I had the Steam version and played Single and Versus just fine on Windows 7 Pro 64bit.

Downloaded another copy (Since I bought from steam that counts as Backup, right?) for shits and gigs and got it to work just fine (Single Player). Not sure a Downloaded version constitutes the same as a hard CD Copy though. Starforce is something I never ran into.

In the end. Both worked on Windows 7 Pro 64bit.
