Rumors said the XBOX360 couldn't handle the power of Crysis 2 engine and they had to strip it down for the consoles.

This isn't necessarily a bad thing. One thing that always pissed me off when I was into PC gaming was the fact that my computer was "old" after 2 years or so (getting 25 avg fps on Doom 3, for example, one year after I got my PC). Perhaps this is a large contributing factor to low PC game sales compared to consoles.

It really just seems like graphics are a software company's way to compare penises with another, with little regard to the fact that the average consumer didn't buy his PC 2 months ago and probably won't spend $700 just to play your game with a reasonable framerate. Oh, and it's also a way for PC gamers to justify/brag about spending 2-3x as much money as console gamers to play the same game.
