Yeah, and i want spies to not be able to roll between lasers - it makes the game too aggro
agreed. but there is already the option to quick-throw a chaff.
Chaffs can be used only 5 times, and a good spy wouldn't want to stop to shoot at lasers ;D

i know this has been discussed before, but what why shouldn't we give the camo suit a second use, like the possibility to walk through cams/lasers/past motion tracking without setting of the alarm? we should balance out the gadgets so that each is equally useful, and even with the eax bs fixed, camo is way too weak, and i like more than one application for a gadget.

I wonder if it'd be possible to increase the camouflage effect. Really what kills camo is the high resolution displays, which make it easy to pick out the distortions. On a low res display, like xbox, camo is pretty incredible. I wonder if it'd be possible to increase the blending or something so that camo is difficult to spot even on high res displays.

Also I like the idea of going past cameras, but not lasers or motion sensors. That'd be a bit too powerful. Problem is that you could get almost anywhere without every triggering a security failure and on large levels like factory, mercs wouldn't stand a chance.

What about some of the ideas of MentalMars (scroll down)?

Most of them seem way too powerful.

The tool kit seems like it might be okay, but it migth be too map specific.

The molotov might be kinda cool, but it's a bit too graphics intensive probably for this project.

The heatsuit and the spike grenade just seem overpowered.

Did the camo suite have a battery? I really can't remember :S
Anywho if it did:
Press = Turn on (semi-camoflaged)
Press & Hold = Lower visibility (this makes battery decrease quicker to the stage where you are completly invisible but only works for about 3 seconds)
Press again = Turn off.

what about the classical phosphorus nades, but the phospor stays on the surfaces (footsteps...) and shooting on it  several times will ignite it for like 10 seconds (no instakill of course!)? ;D
this way, the phosphorus nades will be a useful gadget, and changing the timer for balance reasons is np.
i love feared spies who run away confusing phosphorus with frag nades ^^

camo should be really indetectable in large distances, and almost indetectable in medium distance. this would encourage using the laser to scan for spies and patrolling.
