I know we want to aim for a contrast to the spy, but if you want an authentic military style rather than gaudy-futuristic/cyborg/anime inspired junk, then for me it has to be a balaclava & helmet/gsmask combination - Something like the SAS model from CS: source or the original SCPT/SCCT Mercs. Maybe not as black though, Lots of urban cammo, and flak vests, it should contrast well with a full black rubber gimp-suited spy :P

Just an idea, but could we possible get rid of anything like wrist-mounted screens, and replace if with some sort of... 'pop-down -window', like here?

Clear face, camo paintings, bavacadas, gas masks, whatever, doesn't really matter. For me, the helmet is more important.

It's a nice and original idea.
But, it should be visible from all sides that the Merc is into some sort of Camnet-mode.

a hud could look great, but there must be a change in the body posture detectable from larger distances.

Well, since there's a great likelihood that they haven't plugged the camera controls directly into the central nervous sytem of the merc just yet, he's going to need another joystick.

the 3rd helmet with the 2nd visor and it would be perfect.

not doing a visor mounted camnet. Spies need to see mercs in camnet mode from a far distance.

Same reason why spies dont get this...(was also requested)

Why not when he is in cam net, their hand touches a button on their head? Like on DA's merc while in drone mode?

By spy mounted camnet do you mean as in a camera people can watch? That would be awesome being able to see what your team-mate is doing.

i can't see much use in it, but it sounds like fun.

It'd take lots of resources, lots of ram and would cause lag (seeing what your partner does realtime) - it would be like running 2 instances of versus on the same PC. At least that's what i know about PiP.
