2 mins to make/upload.

I have made a few games.  The PS team has a way better program to work with too.  Something of this magnitude takes a few clicks.  If a headshot is detected, then a simple headshot logo could appear.  It's no big deal either way I just can't believe that some people are so strictly against this.

You could make it transparent, small, blinking? Fade and unfade?

The circles are off-center.

;D
If you haven't noticed, I'm REALLY good at making a simple response into a wall of text.

Time spent working on a dumb option like this is time not spent working on aspects of the game that actually matter.

Sort of like good looking graphics, amIrite?

DreadStunLock

So this thread is complete PS needs to give us "A SUMTING DAT SHOUZ UZ NUUUBZ, DAT WE HAZ A HEADSHOT, SO WE CAN SCREAM AND SHOUTZ: BOOM HEADSHOT"

PS:
You lose the game!

VenomousNinja

Yes, very good. Now give us a good reason why this shouldn't be implemented, seeing as how it would take about five to ten seconds to implement, and maybe fifteen seconds to make an icon.

1+ to the ninja guy.

It does make sense to make a small note wether you get a headshot or not, Also would be nice if we could get a regional voice reports.

For example.

Club House is divided into sections, Hall, Ground Floor Corridor, Ground floor garden, Steam Bath, Jacuzzi, etc etc.

And whenever you stand in that region you could make radio emote where you get a small static noise and the mercenary emotes with a voice saying where he is or where he wants to report a spy can be, I think that would be kind of a more of in depth teamwork.

For example Mercenary 1 is on the first floor in a corridor region emotes: "Static" Intruder inside the steam bath, keep your guard up, over "Static" And of course you should allow to keybind individual key phrases for a persons liking, that will take more time, but before I forget the idea I will lay it here :P

How does this relate to the headshot icon?  BTW I'm not really against the headshot icon as long as it is extremely minor.

unskilled

But guys.. you forgot about programmer work :)
From programming side It won't be few clicks.

No it's a completely different idea, I just thought if I don't post it I will miss out and forget :"(

As a programmer myself, I didn't forget about the programmer's work in all this. In fact, that's what I was mainly thinking of, and honestly, it wouldn't take too long to implement, even in the code.

@Dreadstunlock: I actually really like that idea. It is sort of like the voice commands in TF2, where if you don't have a microphone you can still at least part a little bit of advice to your teammates without having to stop moving and manually type it out.

Yeah it will.  I'm guessing that headshot detection will already be coded for since they are unique one shot kills (obviously) and important to the game.  All you have to do is ask the game if a headshot was detected.  If it was, then you have an icon appear next to the message.  Or even a different message for the headshot.

This.
It's a really simple IF ELSE statement.

Farley4Fan

I took a simple game development class, and Ninja is right.  IIRC, it's a really basic "if else" function and takes a few clicks. :D  Maybe a dev could give an estimate on how much time this would take and if they are willing to do it or not?
