I was wondering and this maybe has already been asked and answered, but what is the chance of slight character customization, like multiple helmets for Spys and Mercs, and so on..?

Not true.  There is always some radio broadcast in the movies that says "There are similar reports of catastrophes all around the world!"  And then I sleep safely knowing that everyone is dying, and not just me.
