To be honest, I really noticed it's not all about Upload and Download, with a new Internet broadband, I got a high-speed internet and I can play with a uTorrent on without anyone in my household lag, or have any issues (And I share Internet between 4 people)

If you're ever doing anything that's real-time, like video chat or gameplay, there is always a benefit to turning other applications which use the net off. Sure the down speed might not be an issue, but other programs will start firing stuff down the line and taking control, delaying the packets which you need to be transmitted fast i.e. game data

Yeah, that very true, it sucks but I have to turn of Facebook, ICQ, MSN, Skype off cause I always have them on :D as well as curse client too :"(
