Hi,

I'm very excited about this project nearly since it started and I don't know if this question was already answered but,
will you also implement ("rebuild") some good old CT maps like Aquarius, Club House and Warehouse (and many others)? I really loved these maps
and I so want to see them back in this game (actually I think all maps in CT were really fun and good :D)
I also think if you could do this, you shouldnt "recreate" the maps and just build them like in the good old CT, because in my
opinion these maps were extremely well balanced.

For copyright reasons, we can't and won't recreate them 100% accurate. Of course, general level design ideas can be used, but we will always give it our own feeling. In the end, this means that we will hopefully balance the game better, while providing a nicer diversity in environments.

Lakehouse is loosely based on Clubhouse, but its changed routes, coop spots and choke points should make the map stand out, and above, Clubhouse. We put a lot of time and effort in creating something new, but still slightly familiar.

The Lakehouse map will be the only map from the PS team that was based on known maps.

Hm thats sad, is there no way that you may contact Ubisoft about the copyright issues?
I can't believe that Ubisoft will bitch around so hard about map designs from ~10 years ago. (in the end it's a compliment for their good mapping :p )
I so want to replay all the old maps and I'm sure many old hardcore CT fans also want that,
because it's the only way. CT Versus is totally unplayable now with the lack of players and the (still)
huge amount of bugs. And is there really a copyright on map design o.O? I mean it's understandable that
you are not allowed to import the map somehow if thats even possible, but to create a good own replica ?

Edit: Also will it be possible for the community to create maps?

The Devs have said that they want the Community to make maps, and will release a map maker (or some way to upload maps) when PS is off the ground.

It also seems like the Dev's themselves cannot create maps from other games, but the community is in a little more of a grey area.
If you haven't noticed, I'm REALLY good at making a simple response into a wall of text.

I am 99% sure it wouldn't work (if it was EA i would even say 100%). These companies are money hungry. Why should they let the PS team(, and with that also Valve as publisher, if released on steam,) have the money for "their" idea, if they own it? They would at least want some percentages (%) of the  money (€/$) PS would earn.
If there are any orthographic/grammatical errors in this post, you can keep them and, if you want, hang them over your bed ;)
