I was wondering if it would be feasible to add an in game reputation system, kind of like Xbox Live's. If you met a total a**hole or a in a game and don't feel like playing w/ him again, just right click on the player's handle and select "Give Negative Feedback  >:(". If you would like to play with this player again, select "Give Positive Feedback  ;D"

you may also consider wanting to add an option to report an in game glitchers

Good idea.  This should be a must in an online game, this should also be added after all of the harder work like modeling, textures, animation...

I think the only way something like this could work, is if you are able to go in and respond to the negative feedback that is left for you, very similar to the way Ebay handles this stuff.  However, something like this would have to be very carefully set up, otherwise, as stated, everytime you beat somebody they will just post lots of "omfgZ he cheatz!" all over your feedback.  This might not even be worth implementing really.

 ;D I agree herofromhyrule :D

smurfing will negate this....

This classifies as a "nice to have" feature because it is not an essential gameplay requirement.

It wouldn't be hard to implement, just a record that goes under your name when viewed.

Atleast a prefer player feature should be added.  This happens when you send them a good review, and next time they are in a joinable match, you get put into their game when you search for a quick match.

Same goes vice versa when you send someone a bad review.

I think the record though should probably only be view by the person themselves, or the host(so he knows who to kick). Not sure if this would work, but maybe you should add a suspension system if they get low enough rep(kinda like XBL).

frankly...such a thing will be the last we impliment.  We have plenty to do before we need to worry about filtering all the annoying players.  this is assuming there will be enough players for people to bitch.

Really,  its the annoying player that will be giving bad reps to decent players....so its a useless feature.

Seems to work just fine with Xbox Live.  I understand it's not a primary concern now.

xbox live caters to thousands of players,  the games have millions of dollars for a budget,  and significant resources for servers and what not.

get a reality check, we are just a mod and will be lucky to have a few hundred people playing this game.  Nobody really cares for a rep system...its a useless feature for us.
