This whole console thing came to life thanks to E3. Here's how PS 'could have' been on the consoles.

UT3 is showing up on PC and Xbo360. Thanks to Games for windows Live, Pc users and 360 users would be able to play against eachother. Microsoft @ E3 claimed that UT3 would be powered with GWL and said that the 360 would even support any mods that the game offered. That would mean that PS, which is a mod of UT3 could then possibly played on 360.

A couple days later, Epic makers of UT3, announced that it isn't supporting Games for Windows Live. Which means that PC and 360 users can't compete against eachother and thus, PS a mod for UT3, would not be accessible for 360 users.

Sony Playstation is claiming the same thing as Microsoft with UT3. However, Epic, has yet to deny or confirm this report. IF it is confirmed, PS could end up being played as a mod on PS3 of UT3.

Its been confirmed that UT3 will have some of the mods made for the PC version ported to the PS3. Also, the Xbox360 won't get UT3 until next year...

Thats what Iseveralot meant. If we make the MOD good, epic will port it to the ps3 and later the 360.

I don't think this is what they meant. They mean that mods will magically be playable on consoles verisons with no code modification for it.

As some have already pointed out, the PS3 will allow for the porting of PC MODs to the PS3. It simply requires the new content to be "cooked". At this time they are saying you have to use a memory stick to port it over to the PS3. What they really mean is that by the time it comes out, you can probably upload it to the Playstation network from your PC, and download it on the PS3. Or, maybe even use your own server to host it, idk.

The Xbox 360 version is not coming out until sometime next year, because of a time exclusive contract. however, I have no doubt that they will offer similar (if not better) features for UT3 when it does make it to the 360.
