lol , i meant why the nude body with muscles if only certain parts of the body;'s muscles will be visible in the final resuly , example , the thinghs  , does it help alot to model each mass of muscle in each section ?

Kebabs human-models don't look like a bag of potatoes (yours do), so his way of modeling would be the right.

lol man youre a real tart aint ya man . need to spit its sour in here .

Reason, can you just go away. I don't think you realise how depressing you make the forum and half these "friends" you claim to have becoz you PM'd them a few times want you here either. Also, stop going on about the model in a few hours, nobody cares TBH its you stinking attitude and the way you think your even in the same league as kebab in modelling that pisses everyone off.

Time, time and time. It's always about time....You just said when you came back that you weren't all that busy and that you could "help people on their first 3d works". Why don't you work on your character on that period of free time, then? Time is only the excuse when you have a deadline, which you don't.

ray mysertio

well to be honest i am willing to stretch my time thin ... you silly fuckers dont know what its like to skip college to let a brother or sister pass you do you o0 ? pussies i taught myself everything i fuckin know and its a shitload more in 3d than any of you spittin shit to  me , let kebab handle it you aint his keeper , to be perfectly honest all of you including me can step the fuck out . cuz none of you are worth your salt.

its a study of muscle groups as well....i will be able to use this for future models hence the more detailed anatomy

So now,  if I need a skinny guy with all of his ribs showing...i have the basic muscle mass mapped out...i just need to change proportions

ray mysertio

ah i see , i was puzzled at how it could make modeling the single character better . thanks

@ the rest of you : i just want this arguing squashed , no more of it ... its just too bad some of you cant stop like i couldnt .

also,  for sculpt base modelling....working in a traditional manner similar to clay modelling helps to visualize the forms that are underneath the clothing.   See,   i make a proportional character with proper muscles...so that when i sculpt the shirt and trousers on top of him....I know exactly where the shirt should not penatrate the surface of the underlying skin.  Also,  it gives me guide for letting muscle be scene underneath the fabric.

Btw:  the spy character is the first model i ever did using mudbox. It was the trainer course for me,  and if i started over, the workflow would be a lot different, faster, and the results would of course be different.

ray mysertio

wow first model in mudbox is a good start .

i never took classes in physique so im lacking there ... characters arent my primary modeling choice but i love to make them anyways simply because i find enjoyment out of making actual humans in 3d , it amazes me ...

i made myself in my high school hockey uniform and animated it with bones to learn bones :

sorry if i posted this image before , i dont really have anyone else to show .

He actually doesn't look bas as a hockey player. The baggage fits in well and his hand now have big mitts. His ice skates look funny though. And tell him to tuck in his shirt ;)

Tidenburg

I agree. That looks much better. Have you ever thought of doing stylized (see team fortress 2) modeling instead? No offense but most models you try to make realistic look more stylized, if you just focused on that instead you may do better stuff. For example, make another hockey player but exaggerate the stereotypical hockey players features such as more bulk, dumb expression and a fatter face than most humans. Then compare it to what you've done there, you never know, you may surprise yourself!

frvge

I agree. Stylized seems to fit your work more.
