Awesome.  Kind of like just a PC with a monitor sticking out of it.  Does the little arm bend down when the hack is complete or something?

Actually, it is looking nice.

how about the ability to hack from different angles/positions/body postures around the computer? It would make around-the-corner headshots harder and give camo a new use against snipers etc.

it would be fancy if the hacking progress could be seen on the terminal. the pt nd stuff offers more possibilites in this regard.
what about making a blue color scheme for the mercs: blue laser, blue mine lights, blue console screens,...

frvge

Color schemes are decided by the 2d artists. Nothing yet tho.

I thought that we could make colors able to be chosen by the player?  I mean like the color schemes for spies ( goggles, shocker gun laser, tubes and lights on body, opsat ) and for mercs ( Lights on their bodies, lights on their guns, colors of tazer or lasers ).  This is a different conversation though...

I got an idea:  How about when the terminal is close to being hacked all the way, how about the lights turn a bright red and maybe flash?  Sort of like a warning you know?

That's not a bad idea, the close it is to completion, the faster the red 'warning' light blinks or whatever. Also, on the screen, i'm planning on putting a bar that that fills up as you hack.

In the end, there will be many ways to figure out the status of a objective :)

Farley4Fan

Yeah, just in case the percentage on the HUD isn't enough.

Dont want to go OT but if there are many visible color schemes, ppl after some time will always take the one that gives them biggest advantage - if it gives such

IMO the concept looks great and pro, gratz.
BTW when speaking about multiple ways of knowing when the hacking is ended, there can be a sound of pc turning down (you know what i mean?) but sounds thing is a different matter.

To mods: could you change topic title so it makes sense ? :) (+ed?)

frvge

ok. At request of topic starter.

Braz that looks nice but spies are pretty tall, so either that's going to be one tall tower or that screen will have to stretch a fair bit up. That also looks like a touch screen, I see it looking like Star Trek with people tapping on panels and all the beeping sounds.  ;)

Its a matter of adjusting its height. I dont see Star Trek in it but high tech. Touch screen isnt anything unusual these days.
