Seriously Agentx, if I don't want voice chat enabled then I don't have to. Somedays I don't feel like talking to everybody I meet and that's that. As for smurfing, who cares? Just play the game. If there's no option to disable my mics I'll just pull my mic out which means I can still hear you, so which way would you rather have it? Banning people just because they have mics disabled is stupid, you sound like Melted_Cheese (who's a moron on so many levels it's unreal).

In a other hand if you force mics enable well you get rid of the problem of ppl using other void programs and the one who don't want to be hear just have to mute their mics, if they can't take the mic and roll it up in a t-shirt or some thing

btw, we stupid "european players" are quite efficient with chat:
"h"=heal
"2"=both here
"zzz"=sleeping
"bp"=backpack
"main coop"
etc
it's not that you need voip to play good. without mic you play a little bit more concentrated and pay more attention to noises. and sometimes you simply aren't in the moot to talk or listen to a hissing microphone.
with everyone's mic activated ingame, a good player would simply use teamsay to circumvent the hacking, so team messages should be shown, too.

still 3th party programs ruin gameplay. Its just like cheating. We never used it, 3th party programs lets you talk after your death, and doesnt let you be overheard by your opponent. This wasnt intended by the programmers. I vote for a "can not put mic off" option.

I highly doubt that on that note, scince the devs run the show on this note, it can be easily modified in later builds.

if you're using a mic and the enemy hacks you they should be able to hear you whether they activated mics ingame or not.
the opportunity to talk to a grabbed merc arises 1 time/game on average, so i don't think it's that important but it's still fun.
i really hope ps gets more of a social aspect like pt and the early days of ct did, and forcing mics would be one way to encourage this.

It's always faster to say heal than to type "h"  and much less of a hastle.  Plus, you have to tell you teammate where you are.  It's better to have mics, period.  But I don't think we should ban or punish people for not using them or misusing them.

I usually play with mic off cause I dont really like to hear people breathing like darth vader all damn game.
But if I see friendly name or someone asks to turn on, I do so.
I dont really see the difference between euro and us players and I dont think only the first group uses tspeak or vent.
