Hmm im bored but also just thought of asking this question because im a visionary, I always like to think ahead =) , soo with that being said are the controls gunna change at all or they gunna stay roughly the same ? , because if so i really thing the binoculars key should be mapped as tilde by default, to avoid hitting it when trying to cam =).

That's personal taste. Even if it has ome odd keys like noop-ni had on CT (in which I can't see being able to play WITHOUT A 3rd HAND!) as default, you can go on and change it to what you want them to be.

spekkio suggested that grabbing ledges should be an extra key. maybe we could discuss this here.

it is: crouch/slow walk and fall over the edge. You'll grab it.

Aslong as you're at one of the supporting columns or you just fall off the ones in Club House. If you were going slow in DA and hopped a rail you'd grab onto the bottom, that would be a good move to have back.

Yeah I can agree to that. Also as far as ledge controls, I think that the forward button should always pull you up on a ledge, regardless of camera angle. Left and right should always move you left and right relative to the legdge you're facing and so on. Nothing except crouch should make you let go of the ledge.

There are sometimes where you have to point the camera just right before doing a ledge maneuver otherwise you randomly fall off.

Thats only because of the camera angle. If you're looking awkward, then your controls become awkward. However, I don't think there needs to be a separate button to grab ledges when there is already a method to.

sometimes you try to jump a merc but instead you grab a ledge. stuff like this pisses me off but maybe it would be a greater pain in the ass to have to press a button for grabbing ledges every time. we could make it so that if you press c while falling next to a ledge you don't grab it. dunno about other situations

No.

It should be: hold 'jump' while hopping over a rail to grab the ledge.
There will be no auto-grab that way, unless you jump up (to climb something).

yes, controls need to be thought out during beta testing because

1. grabbing ledges needs to be easier when jumping over a ledge 
2.  optionally disable autograb 
3. berserking merc partner when getting BP or waking him up

We can implent all kinds of different controls.

When we are in beta, we are going to take personal taste into consideration ;)

No, lol.

Let me explain:
Imagine Vega wants a Toggleable speed thing, while you want a scrollable speed, while I would like a scrollable speed that also controls crouching.
In that case, we could decide to implent all 3 of these controltypes and let the player choose whatever he likes :)

Interactions between mercs/ merc and spy/spy should be done with the coop key, while cross-team interacts should be on the use/ action key.
