I'm not going to build my own.  Mainly because it would take the time and money that I don't want to spend.  Dell is good.  I've had experience on both dells and gateways.  I'd say that they both have the same amount of bs, which isn't a lot.

btw a gateway is a PC lol  It's a brand.

Building your own PC would ensure quality and low cost, because you can determine every component in your build. I recently built my first computer and I could give ya a list of parts/a recommended build thats compatible. For $1000 you can easily build a quad core computer with an 8800GT at least.

I know that.  I actually built my PC before.  I just don't want to take the time to do that.  I mean, the one I'm getting is such a great deal.  It's a monitor, the PC, and printer all in one bundle for like 800 dollars.  Now wait a minute, don't say that the PC sucks because it doesn't.  I was surprised at how cheap it was for all of that and such a good PC.  And I'll probably end up putting in my own hardware in it anyways.  I'll customize some parts of it but mainly I'll just leave it as the stock for now.  I keep forgetting to get the specs damnit  :D

Oh ok. The main problem with Dell is they give you nice hardware but mount it on like a shit motherboard and install all their adware shit. haha

i still say build your own, its worth the time and the less money.

Well, I'm buying the main ordeal.  Later on I'll add custom stuff and practically build my own.  But for now it's just going to be the stock PC, which is still a good PC to begin with.  I know what you mean, building is always the better option.  But as of now time is of the essence.   I need to get to playing on PC now if I ever have shot at competing with you on PS.

in my exp, the dell business service is quite good, but you don't wanna pay for that XD

OH NOES! NO Dell or Packard Bell, they come with a homemade MasterCD maker (Recovery stuf) which ALWAYS fails you don't know how to hack it (CRC checks failing, unable to restart it, those programs are also one-time use, i've had millions of cases where I had to become the hacky guy to still get past those damn programs), do yourself a favor and get a Compaq or the Gateway you probably already ordered (ATM, I'm writing this on a Compaq Armada 1700 laptop with 266MhZ, a Pentium II, 128 RAM and Windows XP running smooth, it says something about Compaq doesn't it?).

Could you give me the list please? I know whats in a computer, but I'm having a hard-time actually deciding which one of the thousand motherboards too choose.

its cheap and performs awesome. The bios is excellent. If you're planning on SLI'ing then dont get this one because it only has one pci-e slot, but otherwise its awesome.

Just got done playing the first 2 or 3 levels of Crysis.  It's a pretty good game.  My PC ran it pretty smoothly.  Of course it wasn't completely all it could have been but it ran it smoothly.  I think that should answer any questions about how good it is.
