I didn't realize we needed to post articles to back up an opinion. I must have missed it
in the forum rules. I don't know what set you guys off here but whatever, it's your forum.
I have been visiting here for a while and have seen a lot of shit like I posted here, and
there are no examples as I can't be bothered, and you guys ignore it. Some of the shit
from one person I can think of has been ridiculous, but again, your forum.

You guys seem like decent people and I like what you're doing with PS. You have a great idea
and if it turns out half as good as it's looking now I think some of you guys will see huge personal
benefits from this project. Having said that I don't come here for this kind of thing and if something
I post is taken this way then I guess posting here is a waste of my time.

I don't hate for the sake of hating, nice try though.

It's the UBI business model. They make the game for consoles then get some intern
or some guy off the street to port it to the PC. Hell if they sell 12 copies it pays for the
intern's time so they really don't care after that. UBI stopped giving a shit about
customers a long time ago, this is just confirmation.

Not a huge surprise. It seems like UBI just tries to get a few extra $ whenever they can.

I agree with your take on Gamespot. Usually they are pretty accurate with
their game reviews (compared to what I think of the game anyways). It's pretty
much the only place I go to for game reviews.

Does it matter much? I mean, since it has the Splinter Cell name, it has to be endorsed by Ubisoft in some way as they are legitimate owners of the name.

Wouldn't Clancy own the rights? I thought it was his original idea and UBI made a game from it (but I don't know for sure).

Notice how you can tell an indie film almost immediately by the way it's shot?

I'm not even into cinematography that much, but it just reeks of amateur.

Will give it a look though :3

That's kind of what I was thinking. This has a low budget look but I'm hoping I'm wrong.

If it happens I hope they have a decent budget so it doesn't look like some piece of shit B movie.

Good movie. I liked when he has to get his gold seperated from the car he squished.

DA was the only game I didn't like so far. I play SC games for the stealth aspect. Sneaking
around looking for your objectives or whatever is what the whole series is all about imo. Not
walking around going through the bullshit they made you endure just to go on. If I wanted
to play something that makes me have to make moral decisions I'll go back to the real
world. I play games to get away from that shit. Yes it was bugged but the game itself was
flawed to me as it drastically deviated from the original concept of the series. I don't think I
even finished the game tbh.
Sure there was stealth in the game but it was overshadowed by the rest of the crap they called
a game.

It's not completely about games. More cores usually means more multitasking. Multi core
cpu's usually change affinity for the cores depending on what's happening. Your game runs
on one core (or two), your pron process is on another etc. That way you have many
programs running but not bogging down one CPU or core. This is how I understand it but
I may be incorrect. Feel free to correct me if I am mistaken.

Static spawns would be fine and to remove spawn camping mappers would have to make at least three ways out of the Spy spawn.
That way if the two mercs are camping two routes the third one is open (or fourth as the case may or may not be). Let them camp
all they want, the Spys will find go around them another way. This is as long as no two spawns can be camped at the same time
(seen from one merc).

Lennard called it right. With so much shit going on you should format and reinstal. It's not worth the hours and hours you'll spend trying
to clean it up and not completely suceeding.

You can check if your router is a problem by doing an internet speed test somewhere (speedguide or some
other site). Check the results and then plug your computer directly into your modem (bypassing the router) and do the same test again.
The results should be pretty much identical if your router is working properly.

Have you updated the firmware on it? Is this possible to do? I had a problem similar to what you describe with a brand new LinkSys router.
It would shit the bed every so often and go down to dial up speeds. Cycling the power solved the problem briefly but it always returned.
I updated the firmware and it hasn't happened since. Funny enough, the problem I was having wasn't listed in the release notes
for the firmware update.

Hope this helps.
