Sorry man, but I don't see any theoretical reason to justify that balance between the amount of positive and negative features to a certain move are related to imbalances.

Besides, you're comparing apples and oranges; how are you able to tell if "being slowed down for an amount of seconds" is worth more or less points than "being able to hit a jumping spy"?

Well, can you show us the process of how you make a sound?

If Frvge agrees, then here's a second assignment: Pick one of the weapons that have been announced for Project Stealth and make a sound for it. Document (both text- and audiowise) the creation process step by step and post that here. (E.g. a flashbang that goes off.)

No, because you could already get there, you just needed 2 people. It doesn't change where you can go, it changes when you can go.

I'm with Spekkio on this one. It definitely changes map access, and this design idea should therefore be explored with care. I'd say that it definitely needs a trade-off. Either way, it's not something to implement in PS 1.0, it's more of a 1.5 idea.

I think that I could be a good thing to be able to reach coop when you're partner is already dead, as long as there's a trade-off involved. It could easily be overpowered if it doesn't cost the spies anything to reach those coop areas.

Agent talked to me about mercs having one as well, but the merc version would be more like the rappel rope from DA. I liked that feature.

It would be pretty darn powerful IMHO. For example Aqua; at some point your partner is dead and the mercs will stop defending the areas which you can't reach without coop. The grappling hook would change that and give you a much better shot going 1 vs 2.

A thing like this begs for being able to switch gadgets at equipment boxes. The aqua example again; you would be able to get into tech where you would leave the hook at the equipment box to take some aggro gadgets.

Sounds awesome IMHO, but I would make the hook take up two slots and only implement it if the game allows players to swap gadgets at the equipment boxes.

Only thing I noticed was that MT looks as though it removes shadows, and on the left of the spy is a semi translucent figure is this a merc?

The MT screenshot shows three spies at different detection levels. Standing still- Moving slowly - Moving rapidly.

Of course, without proof of its creation date, it gets tricky to prove that you're the creator instead of the imitator if you go to court. A trick many designer use, is sending a copy of the work to themselves in a sealed envelope by registered mail.

This is an updated site that explains everything there is to know about copyright. I would never trust Wiki for something as law-abiding as copyright.

Nice link, Westfall, it definitely explains the concept rather clearly. Nevertheless, I've passed a couple of classes on intellectual property rights in my studying days and I'm absolutely sure that the Wiki page was accurate on the concepts I wanted to comment on.

rofl mao. rank kid + console version + place 70 in a game with very few players + arrogant. if i remember correctly, you also prefer "deathmatch gametypes"...
