So what's everyone up to?

It has gotten pretty quiet in here. Not sure if it's Dread being gone or the (understandable) lack of news, but it's pretty apparent that there isn't much to talk about. So... here's a thread to talk about whatever is going on with you at the moment.

I'LL START!

It seems like I've been gone a while on here, but I just haven't had anything worthwhile to say, so I've kept my fingers off the reply button (some would probably prefer that. I get a little long winded). There has been a bit going on somewhat recently with me. I got a new job, a new place to live and everything that comes along with that! Granted at this point I've had those for about 3 months, but none of YOU knew that!

The job is pretty boring. I'm answering phones for Comcast. Not sure if there are people that don't know what Comcast is, but just in case, it's a phone/tv/internet/home security provider. I'm troubleshooting internet and phone. I find it almost funny that I had like 8 weeks of training and most of my calls boil down to unplugging and plugging something back in... well that and resetting passwords. I don't know what will happen to this job if customers figure out these technical secrets!

My new place is pretty cool, at least to me. This happens to be my first place that isn't at my parents. Still trying to get my head over actually buying food. I look in the cabinets still with only the slightest understanding at how all these random things can combine to make a dish that's worth eating. It's lucky I moved in with my Girlfriend who knows how to cool, else I'd be on a strict diet of things that's number of directions I could count on one hand (I've messed up a Cup Noodle, just to put this in perspective).

I finally got my computer up and running! Getting it all together only to figure out that a stick of RAM was bad kinda sucked. Got it RMA'd and now it's rockin' it's little heart out. Got this all set up so I could get back into trying to teach myself 3D animation or 3D modelling, but it seems like most of my time is taken over by TF2 or random other games. My discipline needs some work. I thought if I left a book on my desk in front of my monitor then I'd be more apt to apply myself, but it's funny how tunnel-y my vision will go when I find something more interesting than "Education". Even this right here is my clever way of rationalizing a reason not to start up Maya and get to work.

AAAANYWAY. I'm gonna stop here, mainly because admitting that I'm procrastinating something I actually want to do sounds even more ridiculous when reading it to myself, but anyone who is still looking at this place should post what they are up to!

Add me on Steam or Xfire also. If you see me playing games then shout out for me to do something more worthwhile (unless, of course, you want to play that game also ;))
If you haven't noticed, I'm REALLY good at making a simple response into a wall of text.

HEY!  I Just had to call Comcast to fix my interwebs.  Turned out it was THEIR fault, they reset it, all that jazz.  So keep your head up, you are bound to meet a customer that might require to tap into your vast training experience.   ;D

And maybe, just maybe, I happened to talk to you today?  You are in Oregon right?

Potential random no-wai-maybe-we-talked-today boner aside, glad to hear you are doing well.

Personally, gaming has lost its ability to really draw me in for hours at a time.  I'm just living mah life, and it's much more stimulating than constant video games.

Realizing that as I get older, not many of my questions will be answered - and I will just generate more questions regardless.

Summer is getting a bit boring and I failed to apply for jobs before the summer started.  Mistake and a half.  Waiting for school to roll back around so I at least feel like my life is heading somewhere career-wise.

Getting graphic design jobs here and there.  Decent beer money at the very least, especially when I'm paid in cash.  Pondering creating a true graphic design business because I enjoy doing it anyway, why not get paid?  (Probably the mindset that got a lot of pornstars into their profession, but they seem happy enough).

OH! You better learn to cook!  I feel like at this point in life you either learn to make things with those seemingly random/useless ingredients in your cupboard, or you eat cup noodles/pizza/MacD's/etc... and end up passing giant sodium rocks through your urethra.  I've had 2 friends with kidney stones already, both due to high  amounts of salt in their diets, and one has had multiple seizures.  MORAL OF STORY: I know it's your girl's job to cook for obvious reasons (she has ovaries), but become knowledgable in the culinary arts.

Pasta, salad, meat... You can start with this kind of food, because it's not so hard to cook ;)
Sorry if my english is not perfect.

Try rice, some veggies and a nice asian sauce with some pork.

I recently replayed Max Payne 1+2. I heard Max Payne 3 (which I haven't played yet) has no nightmare scenes? I hear many people complain about that but in my opinion that is the right way. The end of MP2 suggested that Max stopped having the nightmares at the end. And to be fair... the nightmares were less... "evil" in MP2 compared to MP1, so it got better over time anyway...

Still, can someone explain why you are able to DIE IN A NIGHTMARE in MP1? I never understood this... fall off the bloodtrail and you die... lol

Well, we were going to show a bit of [censored] and then some cool [censored]. To top it off, we'd do [yeah right] :D Really cool!

But then the programmers were gone :( So now I'm doing some things myself, but that takes time. We're happy with the new Sound Designers tho :)

There are flashbacks to different time periods, so you can kind of  count them as "nightmare" missions.  MP3 was terrific by the way.

NeoSuperior

"terrific" has many meanings. Could you please explain which one of the meanings you mean?
