Since charging for the game isn't possible, due to the UE engine licence. Is it possible for a optional suggested donation when downloading the game?

General / Off-Topic / SC: Blacklist Impressions
« on: September 24, 2013, 09:18:04 AM »
So I bought Blacklist and I'm disappointed with the multiplayer (as expected), but not as much as I thought I would be. The gameplay is alright, but it feels like CoD in the way that you just run in, flail your arms and gadgets around hoping you kill someone, die, and then wait 15 seconds for respawn with unlimited lives. The difficulty for killing someone isn't really that great. There really isn't much value attached to a merc because he's so easy to kill if he happens to be at the right spot. It's not very rewarding. BUT I could go on about multiplayer forever. In essence, Classic is better than Blacklist. But not by much.

I really think that I enjoy the singleplayer more than the multiplayer in the game, which wasn't expected since I've always liked the multiplayer more than the singleplayer in SC games. The singleplayer is different than other SC singleplayers in that it's faster paced. But it doesn't disappoint me. I mean, I'll miss the slow wittyness of the classic SC games, but it's good in a way that doesn't get me mad that it's different than other SC.

Anyway that's my impression so far. It's fun, but they grazed the target on the multiplayer.
OH, and the game is a b*tch to play on PC. It's better than DA, but there's still a crap ton of things wrong with it. It's obviously a console game with a mediocre port.

If the game killed PS, then I wouldn't be coming back to this site. Ubi tried to innovate instead of improve, so I'm still all in for PS.

So why did Xbox have a whole different variety of multiplayer gameplay than Xbox 360 and PC??

Really confuses me because they don't seem to have much difference in memory usage or anything.  ???

The Xbox version of multiplayer even looks a bit funner too haha.  :-\

General / Off-Topic / No, Splinter Cell will NOT return to normal.
« on: April 24, 2013, 10:52:33 AM »
I want to share with everyone that I am 100% sure that Splinter Cell AND its multiplayer will never return to its original form. They will NOT go back to what made the game great.

I want you guys to look at this link http://web.archive.org/web/20101225212903/http://www.gamepro.com/article/features/214761/splinter-cell-conviction/

This article is about why Conviction was so different. It turns out that when they started conviction, they got a new Creative Director: Maxime Beland... This new Creative Director was the Director behind Rainbow Six(!!!), and had stuff to do with designing Assassin's Creed. Here's what he has to say about his "masterpiece".

"The core gameplay in stealth games shouldn't be slow; it shouldn't be about studying patrols for 10 minutes before making a move."
      - Maxime Beland

This is the guy who calls the shots behind Splinter Cell now since Conviction...

"Instead of just doing another game in the same way as the previous titles, I proposed that we change the angle," he explains. "I wanted the stealth gameplay to be very different. Traditionally it's very slow, and requires you to study the patrol patterns of the bad guys. It's not permissive, and I wanted to change that. I wanted to take Sam and turn the whole stealth thing around. If he's supposed to be the best in the world, then he should be able to run without making a sound. Me? In real life I can't run silently, but Sam should be able to."
      - Maxime Asshole

"Hanging onto and creeping along ledges in stealth games is the slowest and most utterly f**king boring mechanic you can possibly imagine in a video game."
      - Who else than Maxime Beland

He obviously doesn't like anything that made Splinter Cell what it is, then WHY is he the Creative Director for it?!?!
This guy makes me really really really mad.  >:(

General / Off-Topic / SCCT Multiplayer on Xbox Live
« on: April 24, 2013, 12:44:36 AM »
Hey guys, so I know some of you want to play SCCT Vs on xbox live but they shut down the servers right?
There's a program called Xbconnect that allows you to play on "xbox live" with games that had their servers shut down.
It basically takes your xbox's computer connection and sets you up with people over the internet using the same program.
It fools the xbox into thinking that those matches are System Link games.

So just FYI, if servers is what's holding people back from playing back on xbox. There's still hope :D
And I heard people are still on Xbconnect playing SCCT

I would actually recommend just playing on PC with a controller but if you're feeling genuine then there's this ;)

Just reporting my recent discoveries.

Public Discussion / Controller Support?
« on: April 17, 2013, 12:26:03 PM »
Will PS have controller support? I played SCCT on xbox and am totally used to playing it on a controller. I tried SCCT on PC and I'm absolutely terrible with it. Plus the gradient speed with a mouse and keyboard is a nightmare.

I really think that controller support would be a great addition because of some old SCCT players and better control of gradient speed.

General / Off-Topic / Free? No way...
« on: April 01, 2012, 08:41:20 AM »
FYI, WHEN this game comes out, there's no way I'm going to play this game without giving the devs the money they deserve. Which is the price of a normal modern video game. I'll gladly pay 60$ for this when I download it. No question about it.

Anyone have any insight on how the game is coming?  How is progress speed lately? Any new things worth talking about?

Public Discussion / Hit Marker?
« on: March 31, 2012, 03:08:21 AM »
Is it easy to do? Would it give the spy away from just blindly shooting? If not, I would loooove the idea of a hit marker.

So I was just chillin' playing some 360 when I found out I could buy SCCT for xbox over live!! WOHHH! I bought it so I could play some spy vs merc. But for some reason my connection wouldn't work. so after fiddling around with it for about an hour, I finally looked something up and right then I died a little inside.

It said original xbox games were cut from xbox live. It happened a while ago, but I didn't think anything of it so I must have forgot. ERRG it ruined my day! And now I have even more pressure on you guys to GET THIS DONE! I wanna play!!! lol.

Public Discussion / Idea!:: Before game security placement for mercs?
« on: March 29, 2012, 07:04:48 PM »
Here's an idea, how about before the game starts, the mercs get to decide where their lasers and cameras would go by placing them where they think would be effective or tricky. This could be a separate game mode if you wanted I guess.
I think it would reinforce the stealthy and ginger gameplay of the spies. It would also keep people from becoming unfairly good at a map, so then newer players could be included more easily.

The lasers would only go a certain range, and same with the cameras. They could also have a restriction for how close together they can be.

Tell me what you think!

Public Discussion / ::NEW FAN:: Excited!!
« on: March 28, 2012, 05:49:12 AM »
Let me introduce how I came across discovering this GREAT upcoming game called Project Stealth...

My brother and I were reminiscing the great days of SCCT and PT multiplayer, and how crushed we were that they got rid of it. So following my sense of nostalgia, I looked up some multiplayer gameplay of SCCT multiplayer, remembering the days of when I would casually play it day and night. I came across a comment that said (unbelievable and exciting right?) that they were making almost a remake of it called Project Stealth! I immediately dug up everything I could find about the game and realized that it is very much up to my standards so far! I don't game on PC, mostly Xbox 360, but I would gladly move over just to play this game. I would grab everyone I could to play this too! I know plenty of people who miss the groundbreaking SCCT multiplayer and would LOVE to have it back!

I see that this game was made for a competition, and even though that has passed (or not, idk) I would LOVE to see this game come out! I have a lot of hope in this game, and I don't get excited about games often. I hope that you guys haven't given up though. I know how it feels to work on something without pay and only for the purpose of entertaining an audience (I've worked a popular youtube channel with about 70,000 subscribers.). But I encourage you guys to push on and work together! it will be worth it! I have no skills to offer you but I will tell people about this game whenever the opportunity sees fit.

Keep us updated and feed us news when you can!!
