Not really... The brain creates new connections all the time, as needed.

But when you smoke weed, you permanently destroy them, and there is no going back.

Can I just call voteban right now on this girl? =D

PS: Weed stimulates brain cells :)

Question:
Does "Lady balls" differ in any way from men's balls besides the fact that they belong to woman?

Lady balls are like men's brains... Non-existent :P

Oh oh, we has a suffragette!

I killed a moth with a knife and a mop, I don't like moths, I was drunk. Yay.

The health systm isn't to blame for long waits for organ transplants, there simply isn't enough donors. If there were alot more people who donated upon their death the waiting lists for transplants would likely be shorter. Also, not everyone who is an organ donor has viable organs to donate either. If I died of heart disease well my heart is pretty much fucked for a donation then. Or if someone died in a horrible accident they would likely not have much left to donate either.

The wait for surgeries here in Canada (non transplant type) is long simply because our system is so plugged up they will never get ahead and it being a public system it's first come first serve. We have private clinics here if you don't want to wait but you have to pay cash and it can be a lot depending on the type of surgery.

Yea same here. It's more the lack of donors yes, but even for complicated surgeries. They (NHS) tried to charge my step dad for some anaesthetic or something they needed during his back operation because they weren't standard or something like that, which I think is fucking retarded, considering it's supposed to be free healthcare.

I disagree with some of your choices. They are based on the premise that you're going to upgrade. In practice, you don't.

Agreed, I bought an 8800GTS and an SLI board and thought if I needed more power I could just whack another one in. Couple years down the line, when I'm beginning to need more power and they don't even sell them anymore/they are ridiculously priced.

Cant even upgrade my GFX card (properly) now without having to get a new motherboard! I've never upgraded my computer, just ended up buying new ones and building them from scratch again. To actually be able to keep a computer for *years* and it still be decent and upgradeable you basically have to be upgrading more regularly than you'd like. Guarentee if you don't upgrade for a few years like I did, if you want a newer graphics card it wont be as simple as just buying another one, probably end up having to buy other shit too.

Dread thats the first thing I thought of when I saw that public health care in the US was going through.  People already have weight problems in the US and with that comes heart problems and things that require major surgery.  I think the US is on its way to becoming thinner/healthier but it will take a long time.

It's the perfect storm.  It's why I was against public health care at THIS point in time, at least.  I don't think our economy can handle such a shakeup, and with the way the economy is, the amount of unhealthy people there are, it's a scary time to implement such a system.

You may have heard of "death panels".  They don't exist, but it's probably true that the government would rather see you die than have to pay for your bills.

Well so far that what he does for me, it's called benefits, and I don't think Santa is bringing me 30Ã,£ every week from college :P

No?!

What the hell is your problem? I don't even know what you bring your ass into this conversation since you are not even a resident in USA or UK.

I can answer your question on his behalf. He is an ass hole. Probably Voldarant/whateverthefuckhecallshimselfnow posing as a female hooker from Finland who plays Splinter cell or some shit.

Anyway, on topic.

Average waiting time for a kidney in the NHS is 3 years. Considering how much money the public put into the public healthcare system, that's pretty bad...and they're still reluctant to treat you for serious operations, or try and make you pay for medicines/other shit they need because apparently it's not normal practice. I'm talking from PERSONAL experience. How long have you been living in the UK, cant have been more than two years or so?

There are so many polish people living in England now it's unreal.

Yeah good luck telling your buddies to fuck off when you smoke weed see how well that will go.
You just go away for a moment? That's just that hard?

Your thinking is just so bad, lets switch off all Coal Power Plants, nuclear plants... lets do this because it produce bullshit which is poisoning you. Lets do the same with Water power plants because it destroy environment too.
Since you don't smoke it in same room with people till you don't hurts them and anyway they can say you to leave or sth if it still bother them.
Everyone use life as he wants, it's not your choice.

And BTW. Believe more in your govenement, but just believe me when you will be hard sick or sth bad will happen to you they will NOT want to help you. And it's not Bullshit it's painful truth.

What you mean goverment won't help me? Goverment made medicine free for me, as well as I can get any operation for free, that the whole point of being in UK medicine is free ><

I also live in the UK. If anything serious happens to you (you need a new heart or something as serious) you'll be put on a massive waiting list, until it's probably too late, so I wouldn't put all your faith and trust in the NHS.

Yeah but with the current build that I am on I will be safe for overclocking and the PC will last a very long time the way it is now, and I don't mean 3-4 years, I am counting on something that goes much longer, and as well as since I am building it replacing parts will be a lot easier.

Last time i upgraded the core2's overclocking potential was phenominal. I'm on a core2duo e6600 atm, with a shit case, shit airflow, and stock heatsink and i've oc'ed from 2.4 - 3.2GHz and i'm sure I can push it way further if I wanted too.

The reason I'm saying this is I'm sure that the i7/i5 have gotten an even better at overclocking potential due to the smaller core, which means less heat = moarrr overclockkkk! :P

instead of thinking how we can statistically improve our lifespan we should be working on making it an awesome ride  8)
to say it like a fortune cookie: "Life is not about the moments we breathe, but the moments that take our breath away".
discuss :D

I think I would rather die when I was 60 having lived my life to the full than die at 80, regretting things I never did and generally having wished I had done more with my life when I had the chance.

I'd skimp on the PSU a little...doesn't need to be that powerful/expensive. Still make sure its over like Ã,£60 so you're not getting a shit one.

I also wouldn't get an AMD cpu right now either, last time I checked Intel were pissing all over them, but that was a while ago so things might have changed? :)

I would get a cheaper motherboard and put an intel CPU in it. Read reviews, you can save a lot of money.

Just my two cents. I havent actually looked at any prices/performance stats before writing this, so take everything i say with a grain of salt. Still, worth looking into if you can save a few bucks. =]

FR33M4N @ Baked!

So i'm ready for one of those debates. What does /community think of it regardless of whether you smoke it or not? Should it be legalized?

I personally think it's awesome.

Sure, legalize it. But then I want assassination of ignorant losers legalized too.

Get the fuck off the pedestal you seemed to have put yourself on. I hate everything about people like you.

Dread, people who get addicted to marijuana are weak minded and foolish.  If you aren't, then you have nothing to worry about if you try it.

Weed, is almost physically impossible to get addicted to. Unless you like to spend your day doing fuck all, and even then its fucking hard. I mean I'm lazy and will be the first to admit that, but even so! I've been smoking for about 3/4 years now and in the last year it's been heavy. Almost daily. I'm at university, not failing, and still getting all my shit done. I honestly don't see where this stereotype of stoners comes from! People who 'say' they're addicted to marijuana, seriously need to man the fuck up!

Sorry for the quad-post btw. Drunk. :(

Yeah good luck with that belief.

As well as, why would you want to smoke it? Bullshit of believing it relaxes you? For the consequence after? From all the money you spent on weed, you could have bought something bigger that would benefit you without killing you.

Smoking is just a pathetic way of having fun without trying. People who don't smoke living way better than the ones who do, and they have a perfectly happy live, same for the drinking.

Well, don't knock it till you tried it. I smoke it socially, with friends. It's cheaper than alcohol. You have an incredibly stereotypical view of stoners I think my friend. Generalization is BAD!

And I won't try ever, it's bullshit, and it has bullshit written all over it. I can live without it, and I can have a normal social live with my friends without it.

Like was already said, don't knock it until you try it. You are making sweeping generalizations on something you know absolutely nothing about. It is actually kind of funny because you sound like every politician who is against it, they talk without knowing anything about it as well. I am an engineer who has smoked it for 30 years. Not bad for a stoner, an engineering degree and and long successful career, I guess I am wasting my life.

You also say "Shouldn't be used anyway, smoking weed means you harm others around you with the smoke..."

This is another one of your goofy statements. Everyone I know who smokes it would never smoke it around other people who don't smoke it. They are also likely more concerned about others than peopw who amoke tabacco. If you had actually smoked weed and not just what you see and hear on TV and news maybe you could make generalizations based on some semblance of knowledge instead of just spouting from the rooftops.

IMO weed should not be illegal. Decriminalized is more the way to go. Why fill up jails with people busted for carrying a bit of weed when they should be filling up with murderers, rapists, and other useless people of society. It's kind of sad to see so many people here beleive the bullshit the government sells them.

Just read this.

Obviously weed or anything else for that matter isn't for everyone. I don't fault or care if people hate weed or don't ever want to smoke it. I just don't think anyone who has never smoked it can pass judgement on it or on those who do smoke it.

Dread you still didn't clarify for me your statement but that's ok, you make no sense to me anyways.

Yes Farley it may be a gateway drug for some but those people were destined to try that other shit anyways. I know because like I said, I've been smoking pretty much every day for 30 years and I have zero desire to try other shit, I don't even drink alcohol (that shit is ten times worse than weed for a body and society).

Weed is pretty much harmless to MOST people. Some get carried away and some move on to other shit but when was the last time you heard of a guy getting baked and beating his wife? How about smoking a joint and starting a fight at a bar? Weed just doesn't have the social problems that alcohol has. If anything booze should be illegal because it kills more people in an year than weed ever will.

of course there will be more cases in media where alcohol made somebody do sth bad cause alcohol is legal. So this statement was rather crappy. Then again legalizing drugs won't make it better.

are you having a laugh. If anything the media will try and produce more stories against it BECAUSE it is illegal. Take mcat for example (methadrone). In the UK it's a massive new drug among students. The media said it killed 2 people. Purely methadrone (mcat, the street name for it). After a while later on they then announced it was a concoction of other drugs involved aswell, and i mean a fuckload of other drugs. The media will slant to whatever the government want them to say.

i've taken it recreationally, and it's not a case of me being the prick that everyone knows "i've done this this and this",  but take everything the papers say with a grain of salt.
