Why do you NEED donations, anyway? Why do you NEED a kickstarter? It'd be easier to start out with something playable, and then get funding for the rest, instead of focusing so much on the money aspect when it's been seven years in development hell and there's never been a playable version made public ever.

What was the reply?

Guys...
How did you expect to get the amount of people needed to raise this sort of money without having a demo or any sort of release? This has been in development for like, seven years, and there hasn't been anything to play. There's no way the kickstarter can raise that much money on its own with that sort of track record.

Seriously, when are we going to see any gameplay? Beta? Anything?

Hi all,

I'm happy to kick-off 2014 with the release of our new logo. It's visible on our Facebook ( https://www.facebook.com/projectstealthgame ) as part of a sneakpeek of our new website. Our logo is one of the first big changes that you'll see in 2014. People with an eye of detail have noticed we dropped the "Spy versus Mercenary" subtitle. Later this month, I hope to be able to release our new website. For that to happen, we need your help. We currently have the text "Reinforced Stealth Action Multiplayer", but we're looking for a better word for "Reinforced". Then after our website release.... *mumbles something* ... and then we can release the game running on Unreal Engine 4!

Thanks for your continued patience (really, I know it's hard),

frvge

Credits: Many thanks to tigaer for the 2D version of the logo and goodkebab for the 3D version (to be revealed later this month).

inb4 WTaFa takes three posts to ask for more information for his wiki page.

The game essentially just got delayed again, and we're trying to put up a wiki?
The answer was already given in the first post:

Another call for you, gents and lads, will be invite to unofficial PR team for PS.

  • Together we could keep Project Stealth wiki in effective up-to-date status. For sure such efforts could be presented to numerous web sites for gamers and gamedevs over the Internet.
  • Also you could submit own articles to Project Stealth wiki. Then recommend added content with the help of social bookmarking or game forums.

Still the best option is to add your review to the web site specialized in game industry.
Also check another pages in wiki. For example http://www.thief-haven.com/project-stealth/developer-team:
QuoteYes, we had sometimes a problem in allocation.

People either were just too busy, other people lack willingness/motivation.

That's the reason why we looked for new talents constantly.
So we should bring more attention to the Project cos new calls (UE4) were met.

These reasons almost make the wiki idea more ridiculous, to be honest.

So is production basically on hold because you have to port everything to UE4 now at first? How long will all that stuff need?
Welcome to the second circle of development hell.

Public Discussion / Re: Gadget Idea: Tracker Bullets

It's interesting, but I feel like it's overpowered in the merc's favor. It's essentially forcing the spy to play 10x better than he would have to before, because (sometimes stray) hit from a merc's gun would guarantee a volley of bullets and grenades towards the offending spy. It would also encourage mercs to spray bullets when they have extra bullets (with a backpack or next to ammo refills if PS will have those), hoping to get a lucky hit on the spy no matter how stealthy a spy was playing.

Damn right it would.

As we're waiting for Project Stealth to be developed, let's have a weekly gaming session over skype conference call and play SCCT (and maybe other games if we get bored) and just generally fuck about in-game.

As you get more interested, post here with your skype name (or PM me it if you want) and I'll add you to the conference call group. Right now I'm thinking Saturday or Friday would be the most open night for me to play, but let's wait to find out what everyone is comfortable with.

While I will admit I'm quite annoyed by the radio silence the developers are giving us, I am happy to know that they are still working on it whenever they can. You guys have taken on a big task, and I really can't wait for you to be done. Hell, I wish I could help you, but I'm a pretty poor coder, so I'll have to stand on the sidelines for this one.

I'm finally in a position where I can buy this game for the PC, but I'm not too sure if anyone plays it or not.

ya should have taken the oppertunity when I had offered to let you learn da game, now I don't play anymore

I assure you, that 'oppertunity' was really no opportunity at all.
