Just a quickie that I only just remembered, if someone joins mid-game in CT you had to go back to the lobby, can there just be a "Add New Player" in the menu system which would spawn the player onto a team (could be chosen by the host) with the same amount of lives as the teammate. I don't know about the PC version but on the xbox with friends joining and leaving it got really annoying having to stop a game we were sometimes halfway through in fear of the guy leaving.
it's a nice idea, but i don't think it would come in handy that often.
Yeah, also, a reset button would be neat, so you don't have to lobby when there are 4.

How would it not? I hate waiting, and so I usually try to find games that are in the lobby. A lot of other people are like me.

Rainbow Six Vegas 2 implemented this compared to the first Vegas, it's a lot better now.
Yes absolutely, much easier to get into a game. But, that doesn't make up for the fact that the game is hella boring now-for whatever reason.
I can see this being an option the Host can turn on or off. If someone joins, they instantly spawn on whatever team the host want him to be on, rather then going straight to Spectator mode.

Thumbs up
Quadruple thumbs up. Is this something that the UE3 supports? Or does that not matter?
I assume its supported, seems like a pretty basic net feature to have.

Does not matter - I HAZ TEH POWA! The game is built completely from scratch, no old unreal things will be in it, so we programmers control whatever happens.
I do, by the way, hate that almost no one knows about the revenge/number of rounds option in CT, which could prevent having to return to lobby. Just set no. of rounds to 4 and turn revenge mode on, and all players get to be on the spy and merc team two times in one map, without moving back to the lobby. Worked for me, but perhaps it's bugged that no one uses it, I don't know.
It works, but noone uses it because they use to change their eq every round.
no serious gamer would like to use that feature. you gotta select your eq, play with the full mission time, and choose ur mate / talk to him about eq/tactics/... . it could be a nice feature for dm mode though.
Lennard, would it be possible, for a restart map option? Say you have 3 ppl fooling around, fourth joins and then u hit restart and play a real game. Also for the whole eq thing, would it be possible to save eq prefs, per map, per side (spy/merc) if you wanted, and also a default eq set by player for maps that are not set. And lastly, what if we could change eq in game, but it only activated on the next round. Also, the ability to switch maps with out lobby would be nice. (Map rotation list? like most larger MP games, set by host obviously)
hey, the lobby will be so downright sexy designed by seefoo that i wanna see it once in a while ^^

All possible to do.

Thank god we will not only get 'serious players' to play PS!
Im for a reset button. If a player joins during dmtsj, the host can assign the player to the team, and hit the reset button, and the timer etc would be reset. I see what rambo means with the eq thing. Maybe a system could be added so u can save ur eq set for each map. (eg if i was on Museum, id set a museum eq set, and it would default to that eq everytime i played on mus). This means the reset button would work alot better cos people wont need to lob for correct eq then.
I think someone suggested this before, but anyways: Why not make it possible to select your equipment in-game, but the changes wouldn't be applied before the next server restart/next round? That way you don't have to go to the lobby...

Once 4 players are in game they host shouldn't be able to restart. I like that idea though. But it should only be available with < 4 players in game.

I'm for this too.
how about keeping the loaded map running in the backgroudn while going lobby if some1 joins?

Right, what I meant was its dmtsj, then a fourth joins, the map resets, and auto assigns the play to the team that had only 1 person on it. Also it could be implemented in such a way that everyone must accept before the map restarts, that way everyone is ready and a fresh "real" story game starts.
EDIT: @ Cyntrox, I suggested it b4 on the previous page.

Ah, okay. I couldn't find it on my brief search. I second the idea.

That's impossible, since the lobby is a map on it's own. When the lobby is running, you actually join a server with the Lobby map running. You will still have some of the previous map in memory, but switching from one to another requires reloading.
