Hi, I just wanted to know what type of models this editor you guys work with takes. Is it like the SC3 one with ASE's?
Also how do you get this level editor you'r working with?
Actor X plugin for exporting, using Unreal Tournament 3 Editor
Yes, .ASE files.
It's a modified version of the UT3 editor by the programming team (atleast it has a PS logo....) but it's just like the one you get with UT3.
Any way to dld the editor and do you need to pay?
It comes WITH UT3/Gears of War/whatever game.
The way you're gonna get the game is a totally different question, though..
I see, similar to SC3. So would levels from those would work on the modded one?
No. Ubi code is different. They use also a dated version of the Unreal Engine.
No no I meant similar meaning that it came with the game.
I meant did the levels made with the editors that come with UT3/GOW work with the modded one.
We basically extend the UT3 editor with custom stuff for PS. We only add to it, so you can use it with the original UT3 maps. And if not, you can just remove some lines in some inis to switch back to the 'normal' version.
BTW: we won't be releasing the editor any time soon. It's still being developped. Maybe when we go beta.

Ok thanks!
Welcome to the PS forums Bob!
Did you ever finish the remake of Police Station for CT?

The answer is now, at the moment build versions differ on the mapfiles, ut3 says "Imcompatible version".
Though, say you used the Gears of War editor withotu doing anything fancy (as placing those hiding volumes), you can just "Select All", Copy Selected, and Paste it INTO the UT3 editor (be sure you did import all the models you used in the Gears of War editor into our editor first.
