The term "Cum Laude" isn't very well known outside the Netherlands, frvge.

For all the layman:
Cum laude means I passed my first year at university-like level (our schooling system is a bit different) with everything 7+ (1-10 grading system) and the average of all grades together 8+.

This term will get stamped on a certificate (which will be officialy - yes, including parents - handed to me in 2 weeks), which puts me higher on the ranking list in case I want to do something at University-level (doesn't apply to all educations, it was just fun to get because I could).

Oh, I also get a cake from my school now, yay.

Congratulations to me for finishing my first uni semester with nothing but "fuck...that was close".
