Once you are using the back to wall technique, you should be able to throw stuff like frag grenade, flashbang, etc only by using your own arm but without turning your head to look over the corner along with other things like flash-bang. Can't merc use back to wall technique?
Other question that are not related to the topic by any chance you're going to play as an spy as if you're looking through the eye of the spy and could you put part of the interface that tells you where's the sound location is right at just in case if the sound is behind you or so?
Understand?
- No, Spies will need to peek around the corner. Else just get out of back-to-wall and shoot a grenade with your gun the normal way...
- No, Mercs can't use back-to-wall. It's a sneaky move, and an armored soldier isn't exactely sneaky :P
- Nope, Spies are third person only (and second person when he's in shoulder-view when aiming).
- Yup, I get your points :P

What the fuck are you talking about? That's 3rd person. You can't play 2nd person. If you were to shoot at the merc, then the merc would be second person.
No mulle, the second person is usually seen as a 'shoulder' view. It's between first and third person :P Thus second.

Completely wrong. If
anything, second person would be hacking into the mercs visor to see what he sees but even then you're still in first or third person perspectives.
According to the book-definition you're right. But the shoulder-view has been referred to as second-person for a while now. I'm using that definition.

I have never seen it referred like that. Second person would be if you're playing through your enemy's eyes, and trying to shoot yourself.

I'll make you sauce, ok?
To be honest the only real use of back to wall is to conceal yourself, other than that it's impractical as opposed to poking around without your back to the wall.
Second person wtflol :D
Once a spy is flash banging he should be able to run and yell right? so if a merc is arounda corner can't merc use flash bang too?
Other question that are related are if the merc sees a spy can he have motion track on all the time just white outlines that makes it easier incase you didnt see hte spy?
Understand?
So a merc using MT all the time is unharmed by flashbangs?
i think he wants something like the scda visor with its integrated mt.
regarding the original question, I have already created some new functionality for throwing grenades. Not in the manner requested, but i have created anims for Spy to throw grenades without using tazer or quick dropping. The basic concept is to promote more stealth manouvers, like chaffing mines around corners by rolling the grenades on the ground. Spies need as many possibilities to use stealth. This follows the generally accepted philosophy that Aggro players should not be nerfed, yet stealth players should have more possibilities then they had in CT.

I like this
With the rolling animation, that must mean the nades are timed. Can I pull the pin and hold it for as long as I want? Can I pull the pin and toss it in a few seconds to have it explode faster? Can it explode in my hand causing me damage? How far can I roll it? Can I roll it fast or slow?
goodkebab, that's an interesting maneuver right there and as for the montero's question, that would expose the spy to risk if the mercenary isn't affected by the flash bang while he is using this equipment.

Its just the animation, actual implimentation is controlled through code...but I would expect something similar to how Shooting grenades works (hold longer, means throw farther) , just done without tazer, and being able to limit the distance -crouch position will roll grenade a short distance, ideal for corners or under vents, and stand will throw it (faster then tazer and doesnt make noise)
