So far i can see that this website has been going on since 2006 well not website but this idea. Do you people have enough programmers etc. for the work? i dont mean to rush but i have read every thing and no1 talks anymore about when this is going to actually happen. I am just thinking that im not sure if this will really continue.
We are on schedule. However, we can't start the real programming until UT3 is released, which got pushed back to Q3 2007.
So on schedule means what? that it will be done when you planned it? or you are saying thats when you will actually start to work on the project?
Probably 2nd. But we're in preproduction, so some things are definately being worked on.
we are still in the pre-production stages and won't get to really 'start' untill UT07 comes out. Then after that it will be a while before a first release, we have plenty of artist, but no engineers. Untill that changes we are t3h doomed.
And we are doing this for free on our own personal time, its not like this is our job. Just be patient.

Huh? I thought that was the plan, you won't need engineers (you mean programmers, right?) until UT3 comes out. By the way, not sure if goodkebab ever told you guys that I won't be programming because Unreal3 is way out of my computer's understanding (Pixel Shader 2.0).
And when you say thinks are being worked on, please tell me it's more than just posting in a secret forum? What is the schedule? Does that mean by the time UT3 comes out, you won't need to create any more art? Is that the schedule?
I don't care if they keep the project a secret. As long as they read and put some of the stuff on these forums into the game. Who cares if they keep it a secret. As long as people like the game right? ???

Engineers/programmers, sometimes mean the same thing. Regardless, I meant enginners. Have you ever played a Unreal Tournament game? Its nothing like what we want, and the amount of work and reworking of code and engine will be a daunting task.
As far as schedule is concerned. We have a Spy done, and a level halfway done. All we need now is the Merc and equipment. Plus, I have started doing generic props and textures that can fit in any themed map. Can't do much else untill we are further along.
Mr. Mic and I have started a list of Map that we would like to be made, but untill the team confirms and reviews it, no work will be started.
Let me say this. If everything goes according to 'schedule', we will have one map finished, the spy and merc modeled AND animated as well as the equipment made by the time UT07 hits. Thats why we are using the roboblitz editor now, to understand and learn what how to work with UE3 to make the transition to UT07 as fast as possible. Yet, there is still months of coding and engineering work to be done.

Well for one thing, this isn't a MOD, its Total Conversion and of course you can access the engine, thats the whole point of a TC. When I say engineer I mean stricly a Unreal Engineer that is familaru with Uscript and the ins-and-outs of the Unreal code.
Well, as you said that you are on "schedule" i just hope this game will come out after the summer(meaning like before christmas) but no worries i can still play scct for a while longer:)

UT3 is released in Q3 2007, so that's after the summer. Then we will need like 1 year of programming and stuff at least... I think.

This project would take minimum 6 months to a year to finish if a professional studio of artists and programmers (about 6 people) were working full time on it. Production did not really start till january, so we are doing pretty good in my opinion. We have the spy finished and ready to animate, 1 test level ready for getting our hands dirty with the editor.
Now its the job of doing a search on the mod forums for a full team.

I think it is kick ass, SvM 2v2 is the greatest concept ever and can only be truly made to its potential by the people. With all the ideas and how you guys actually know how splinter cell should be made you could really be truly be a kick in the pants to Ubisoft.
yea lebron but its not that easy you see they are still looking for a programmer and it might sound cool but until you actually play it or test then you can really depend if its a good game.
