i preorded bc2 because i played BF2 and i liked the innovation and the way they stick to realism, at least in the major overall feel. the BETA looks just so much nicer than BF2 with better mapping techniques and layout, along with the experience of playing in combat. BETA access unitl Feb.25th is available with preorder from D2D and Steam.
modern warfare 2 sucked big floppys compared tho this, i have thought about it and MW2 needs a facepalm from around the globe LOL.
I enjoyed Bad Company 1, even though it was pretty arcadey. This new one looks to be about a million times better.
I hope this game has good quotes like BF2 did.
I got the special 80 dollar version for just 60, lucky me. The demo was really fun. However, the people that give you updates through the radio talk casually. Know what I mean?
In the first game when a crate took so much as 1 bullet there would be a russian guy screaming in your ear.
Now, the guy will say: "Hey guys, just thought I'd let you know. I think there might be a tank sitting on the gold crate. Maybe. I don't know. Hey did you guys catch Lost the other night? I think they started the season off pretty well. But anyways, might wanna check out that one crate if you got the time. Later."
lol just something I noticed.
Got my beta key yesterday, I love the sniping, it's soo much better than BF2. Made quite an amount of headshots already and unlocked the first sniper in just 1,5 hours.
I hope it has a Conquest too, though, the full game that is. It will make the battlefield feeling complete.
It has much more game modes including conquest. I also dig the sniping more than the last game's sniping, much more balanced and fun to play as.
Already bunched prolly 20 hours into the demo itself, loved the first BC. The sniping also feels a lot smoother and way more fun now, I could snipe the whole team from a couple spots pretty darn efficiently with the 1st sniper at the first crate defence location. Found a couple useful spots on the other defences also, I just mostly end up in teams that can't do nothing and even if I run as quickly as possible the objectives seem to be taken. Also what I miss is the laser designator, tanks and the like really rule the game at the moment a whole lot, takes a couple RPG's to destroy one and if there's an engineer sitting behind it repairing it's almost worthless. I just hope they bring it back atleast as a unlockable. Overall I believe I'm going to buy it on release date, just wish I could get my hands on a PC beta key.
They can always patch the mess out of that. Thing is I thought that vehicles in BC1 were actually too weak because 4 of the 5 classes had a good means of taking it out: rockets and mines for demos; designator for the snipers, mortars and the powertool for Support, and of course C4 for the specialists.

I suppose you talk about the Xbox360 demo?
And it is official, sniper is now the most awesome class in-game. Always loved sniping in games, but this one is just plain awesome, I can even hit people behind low walls using laws of physics, that is soo damn cool.
If anyone wants to game along, add LennardF1989 to your friendlist.
The 12x zoom sniper upgrade + Mortar + Glock Pistol = Total Pnwage.
I keep making killing sprees and the medals/awards/whatever keep popping in and out of my screen the whole time, my kill-death ratio is awesome :P I'm SOO going to buy this game, I hope they refactor the netcode bigtime though, it sucks. And the serverlist NEEDS sorting and players need a ping on the scoreboard...
BF: BC2 Beta update released today:
all i can say is if you had problems running the beta at more than 30 FPS your chances are much higher now...
i got a new side case fan installed, along with a new CPU cooler heatsink/fan, and the load of my 275GTX is ~20 Degrees cooler, so i decided to overclock the 275GTX ... Beta runs very steady and i know my pc is bad but it holds up very well now, with mixed medium/ low gfx settings.
I tried this game today the beta, I play 1920x1080 and all settings at high except the 8x thingy which I put at 1x. I'm really bad at this game, I get killed all the time and I have no clue from where so I found it pretty boring..
But guess it's just cause i'm so bad and not used to these kind of games..
the game is fun, but it could be better if it felt a little more like COD4 with the camo, proning, peeking and all of that.
overall its a good game but I recommend trying out Rush mode and Squad deathmatch mode before Conquest because conquest can be boring at times... and especially for a new player.

Conquest is THE gamemode that made battlefield... well... battlefield, as a BF fan it's the gamemode I prefer at all times.
This server bullcrap is pissing me off.
one thing i dont like is that enemies with high can take full clips of bullets before dying its pretty ridiculous... but i guess i will eventually have that armor on anyway so.. whatever..

Roberto, I take it you didn't play the first bad company game? If you did, you wouldn't be complaining about the amount of bullets that people can take now. In the first one, which I thought was good but not great like BC2, you could pour over a half of a clip into an enemy and he may have some health left. I don't use the armor because it doesn't even help that much. You can only take like one more bullet but at least it helps against getting sniped.
also, im like emptying a whole clip on a guy and he kills me even after i had shot him (and hit him!) for longer because he had some sort of "magnum ammo"
lul...
Well Roberto, you gotta admit some of it is your fault sometimes. Magnum ammo doesn't do that much. It takes like one less bullet to kill. Use it if you think it's that godly. It doesn't take long to unlock the magnum bullets. I've put 40 some odd hours into the online multiplayer and I've had a lot of experience. You just have to pick a gun or two and get skilled.
It also depends where you hit the guy. If you hit him in the stomach and he shoots you repeatedly in the head then you will die. Ya know? Sometimes people get lucky, sometimes you get unlucky, it's the name of online games. Play and learn my bro.

Words of wisdom:

yeh yeh yeh thanks for the tip (lol)

hey how does kill death ratio work when u just got 1 kill 0 deaths u get 1 for some reason, does it affect your ration as much as a ratio of 15/15=1
or does greater number of kills and deaths have a greater impact on overall k/d ratio
Derp dur hur dee durpa durp
I found a nice solution
Join "hardcore" servers
xD
Its so much easier to get more score in those nice!
And a sniper rifle actually kills the enemy dudes! :)

What are you asking about? Of course you don't just get a KDR of 1 when you don't die at all. It's infinite and only helps your KDR. And of course more kills/deaths will have more impact. It's actually really unclear what you are asking.
And hardcore blows. I thought it would be nice at first but there really is no difference between a sniper or a freaking 9 mm Light Machine Gun. It's pretty much 1 bullet to kill and the only difference between any of the guns is the appearance.
I still think hardcore is better than regular im better in it i think, and i like how it feels more fast paced.
Does a 15/15 = 1 have the same impact as a 1/0 = 1
(i know 1/0 is not 1 but thats what the game gives you)
Also is what could be considered a good k/d ratio for a regular/amateur player? like from .90 to 1.20?
I didn't know the game gives you 1 for 1/0. They aren't going to put an infinity symbol. They shouldn't even give you a KDR after a match where you do not die. But who cares?
I have a 1.6 KDR or something like that and I consider myself above average. So yeah, 1 - 1.3 or so is average.
