Where were the trains headed before being hijacked? When you hijack a train you dont' have much control over where the train goes lmao

Points at Glenn Beck and rest idiotic talk show hostmen you got there.
Oh God, here comes the virtual WW3. Allies against allies. There is no axis.
I consider myself conservative. I'm an independent politically because I see things differently than each political party. I must say that I agree with republicans on more issues than I do with democrats, but honestly they're both more or less the same. So what does it matter?
I think Glenn Beck is so close-minded and afraid that I actually dislike him and his program. I like Bill O'Reilly, I don't think Obama is a Muslim or that he wants to take my guns away, I'm not against the mosque near ground zero (I think the real problem is that ground zero is still a hole in the ground), some people just go to the extreme and stay there.
But in response to snakebit's video, godlessness is just another word for a lack of moral boundaries. A lack of moral boundaries is a sure fire way to destroy your country (or yourself) from the inside out. The debate rages on where the boundaries should start, and I believe they should start a bit sooner than the left does and maybe a bit later than the right does.
I am an atheist
Glenn Beck and Bill O'Reilly are both idiots. But if you're going to use them as a basis for your opinion on what most Americans think or believe, you are the bigger idiot.
I think everyone posting in this thread is an idiot and if you care then that makes you an even bigger idiot.

He has definitely not been ambigious enough for sane people to think he is a muslim. As the video tells, he has stated several times that he is a Christian.
Perhaps my last comment was unnecessary though I still think what I said is true. Whether it is because we do not have the same horrible news media as you or because there are a lot more American people who has no such thing as common sense is hard to tell though I guess it is a mix of both of them.

In most cases, European news is just as bad, if not worse, than American news.
What do you mean a true believing muslim wouldn't attend Obama's church? I don't think he's a Muslim, but the church he attended was extremely anti-America. He denies it, whatever. If a Muslim were to attend a Christian church, that would be the one. :D
When you flip things, no true believing Christian would recite the Islamic call to prayer and all that.
I doubt he's Muslim, but I can see why some doubt he's Christian. Just because he says he is means basically nothing. If you were running for president of the US you'd be retarded to say you are NOT Christian. I have no clue what he is, really, because of the ambiguity.
"I did not have sexual relations with that woman", concrete answers never shatter mysteries.

I actually agree with that. As long as someone is a good, competent leader with the right ideas (not that I think Obama is competent), then their religion is beside the point.

Quote from: Farley4Fan on September 02, 2010, 10:02:55 AMWhy would the mob care?
USA is a very Christian country and I am sure that a lot of Christians would not like having a Muslim as their leader. Especially after 9/11, there has been a lot of, what I would call, unfair hostility against Muslims. Unfair because the terrorists were not actual Muslims but fanatics. Funny enough, you seem to prove that this hostility exists as you claim that if a Muslim was to attend a Christian church, the Muslim would attend the most anti-American one. Interesting.

The first link, a 10 second soundbyte of some random fox host saying that it is a big story (not necessarily that it is a huge deal to be Muslim). A lot of people in our country would care if he lied about his religion or not. Context, it's important. The second link, EVERY SINGLE NEWS NETWORK HAS DONE THIS. The liberal side of the media (ABC, MSNBC, CBS) sent people on missions to Alaska to get dirt on Sarah Palin. They get stories wrong, they sometimes flat out don't run stories, every single media news outlet has some kind of agenda and some have an agenda bigger than others. I could post proof of bias, idiocy, and lies from every news outlet and I'm sure no news outlet around the world is completely innocent.
I'm not interested in media outlets from Europe so I don't have much knowledge regarding them - sans BBC. What I do know is that because our media has FREEDOM of the PRESS, I have to take everything I hear with a grain of salt - especially when it comes to what one news outlet says about another. You have to limit what you hear from the news regardless of where you live. It's a better system than most (despite the faults we've listed) for the sole reason that you get to hear an infinite amount of perspectives on any issue at all.
QuoteI still do not think that a true believing Muslim would attend church as many times as Obama has done and deny his true faith and even have his children baptized in a Christian church. Yes?
If you are going to be president you must. Maybe he's not a "true-believer" (whatever this term means, let's just stop using it). Maybe he was at one point and converted to being Christian. This is just a circle we are going in now. So let's stop while we are ahead. What you and I think is possible is different from what other people believe is possible. Some people believe a Muslim could go to a Christian church and stomach the disagreement for the sake of being president. Some people believe it's possible that he could worship Allah at a Christian church.
I do not believe this to be the case, but is it really that hard to believe that it's at least plausible? You called these people ignorant, but denying these as possibilities and believing the president just because he says something is like 18th century ignorance.
And of course he would put down jeremiah wright after the scandal, it was hurting his public image and his chances at winning the presidency! I call BS that he never heard anything like that during all his extensive years of attending that "Christian" church. I mean, come on.
QuoteLike I said, the mob cares about him being a Christian or not. I think that the problem is that some people actually want him to be a Muslim so that they can use it against him and have another reason to dislike or even hate him.
Well here you just prove my point. If the mob can choose the president, I'm sure they can choose which religion they want him to follow. Why couldn't they set up things to make him look Christian? If mob can so choose, he may be Muslim again tomorrow should he piss off the mob. :D
And it's your opinion that the Christian things outshine the Muslim things. Some don't feel that way. To say your opinion is ultimate and all others are ignorant is, well, ignorant.
QuoteUSA is a very Christian country and I am sure that a lot of Christians would not like having a Muslim as their leader.
Yeah, I realized that what I said was wrong about a Muslim attending an anti-american church. What I was getting at was that the church was so non-Christian. However it still seems obvious that there are more anti-American muslims than there are anti-American Christians. It came out a bit wrong but he did choose a pretty radical church.
I don't believe Obama is Muslim, but I do believe he is pretty anti-American (ala, his church). As in, he dissaproved of the way things have been done in America so gets elected to mold the country into the America that HE wants. The day he bowed to another country's leader, I saw that as the day he showed acknowledgment that America sucked but "Hey! MY America is better! See? I'm bowing before you!" I see that as arrogance (not confidence) and that's a definitive trait I would NEVER want to see in my leader. It also pisses me off that he decides to apologize for all the "harm" that America has caused. As in, "Hey, I'm above all that shitty stuff and not related to it in any way but I'm sorry so love MY America now bla bla bla"
This is the kind of shit that really ticks me about Obama, not his religion.
NO PRESIDENT IS ANTI AMERICAN/ANTI AMERICA. You may have downs. No you do. It is people like you that can't pick out the UNITED STATES on world map. Go out, get some pussy, go to school, and come back her and rethink what you say. Let me say some things:
1. A lot of REPUBLICANS also agree that Palin is a dumb bitch. He picked her up to get the womens votes. Good choice for a select purpose, but no one who is dumb enough to pick her as their VP deserves to be president.
2. Any info you get is from the news, including videos. Don't say you take things with a grain of salt and then start posting about how he is anti-american and other BS because of the church he went to.
3. Fox news has a reputation for sucking ass, along with anyone who watches it
4. Anyone who thinks the president, or any president is anti-american has a severe case retardation. He ran to RUN THE COUNTRY. You don't take a job like that if you don't like what you are controlling.
5. IT IS HIS JOB to shape it into his vision. Contrary to a lot of beliefs, most americans would fuck the country up. His job is to take the flak when the country does something that people can't understand. If my neighbor ran the country, we'd be fucked.
6. You run for president. No one will vote for you because you lack the intelligence of an average american.
I can't wait for the next genocide, except this time we will kill anyone who can't find the US on a world map, and anyone who thinks Sarah Palin is smart. We would be a much better species.

First of all Ion, fuck off. Don't act like you know me. Feel free to respond to my response to your bullshit.
Quote1. A lot of REPUBLICANS also agree that Palin is a dumb bitch. He picked her up to get the womens votes. Good choice for a select purpose, but no one who is dumb enough to pick her as their VP deserves to be president.
Where the hell did I say anything about me liking Sarah Palin? I didn't, dumbass, because I don't like her. It's not like VP's do anything anyway.
Quote2. Any info you get is from the news, including videos. Don't say you take things with a grain of salt and then start posting about how he is anti-american and other BS because of the church he went to.
By "take things with a grain of salt" I didn't mean that everything they tell/show you is a lie.
Quote3. Fox news has a reputation for sucking ass, along with anyone who watches it
I'd say every single news outlet sucks sometimes. The only people I like on Fox are O'Reilly and Shephard Smith. Most of the rest just seem scared, blind, and stupid. The people who watch it suck ass? How much of an asshole do you want to sound today?
Quote4. Anyone who thinks the president, or any president is anti-american has a severe case retardation. He ran to RUN THE COUNTRY. You don't take a job like that if you don't like what you are controlling.
Are you stupid? Why do you think we have laws that prevent non-Americans from becoming president? To ensure that people who dislike our country don't get people in office to fuck things up from the inside. It seems as though he didn't approve of ANYTHING America did before his presidency, what with all the bowing before leaders and apologies and shit.
Quote5. IT IS HIS JOB to shape it into his vision. Contrary to a lot of beliefs, most americans would fuck the country up. His job is to take the flak when the country does something that people can't understand. If my neighbor ran the country, we'd be fucked.
Wtf do you mean contrary to a lot of beliefs? Don't act like your words are edgy when they are redundant and obvious. Rather than "shaping it into his vision", not fucking things up like you say should be the number one priority. Ironically, he seems to have put his vision on the backburner in favor of being realistic. He said he'd close Guantanamo, for instance. Then he got into office, realizes he was being foolish, and keeps it running.
Quote6. You run for president. No one will vote for you because you lack the intelligence of an average american.
This is your first post towards me on this topic and you go right for the attacks. Why are you so mad all the time? Must not get any pussy.
QuoteI can't wait for the next genocide, except this time we will kill anyone who can't find the US on a world map, and anyone who thinks Sarah Palin is smart. We would be a much better species.

he's kind of got you there dude
I explained what I was getting at in my response. I admit it sounded bad. I meant that the church he chose was to me pretty non-Christian. The anti-American thing had to do with more muslims being anti-american than Christians.
hahaha you're still fucking doing it

I agree that hatred toward america is due to many factors outside of religion. But the one major religious reason is because we support Israel. Most of the world doesn't like it. Soon our country will turn our backs on Israel so the rest of the world doesn't turn on us. It's inevitable.

Look at the reporter's amusement in the first video. Does that give you the impression that he is neutral as a reporter should be? And whatever other news stations may do, it does not justify what Fox does.

There was a time when the gross generalizations were accurately applied to the online scene/computer savvy. It just cracks me up when I see online posturing. Doubly so because 15-20 years ago I was very into computers but I also spent the other 60% of my day at the skate park, downhill and velodrome racing, playing water polo and later drift racing till I got popped to many times and had my DL pulled for a year. I was that guy that the stereotypical 1980's and 1990's computer geek postured as. No one would even believe I knew a damn thing about computers. Now the vast majority of people are not exclusively interested in gaming and the online scene, but rather use online resources to further their non-geekish activities yet the 1980's stereotype still clings to life when it should have died 10+ years ago when society finally realized computers were not just for the dungeon dwellers.

@Binary, true my friend.
When I'm not doing other things (hanging out with friends, going on dates, parties, working out, school, work, baseball) I'm probably online surfing the web or playing video games. Typically it's a very small portion of my day. I very much have a life. The weird thing is that I'd rather not let some of my friends know that I talk to people online through forums because that stereotype has not died out yet. It's not that I'm embarrassed, it's that my friends (knowing my friends) would take it some dumbass way like I'm a creeper that lurks in my basement the whole day and curses the sun and shit. I know it's not like that, but I'd rather not have to deal with explaining that to my friends. God knows we give eachother shit for everything. Everyone hates and loves their friends.

No, it was not a stupid question on my part. I just want to know how you think believing Obama is a Muslim can be justified. Like you I can see that some people see things in a different way but in this case seeing things differently comes from ignorance, in my opinion. It has nothing to do with me being close-minded and not capable of accepting other people having another opinion than mine. To put it in a different way, if someone told me that he thought of the map Warehouse as being easier to win as spy than the map Orphanage in SC:CT and he was not able to find proper arguments supporting his opinion but still did not change his mind, I would think that he was being a, perhaps ignorant, idiot. Would that make me a close-minded person?

It is generally the same thing you say here except that you have chosen to spice it up a bit with some typical American arrogance (yes, I was generalizing there). But honestly, do you think it is wrong of Obama to bow for another country's leader? And do you really think that it was an example of Obama's so-called arrogance? Do you not realise that Obama is just showing his and Americaââ,¬â,,¢s respect for another country, which is something that America has been very bad at in the past? And why are you putting the word harm in quotation marks? America
has caused a lot of harm, more than you can ever dream of, whether you like it or not and it is about time someone starts to apologize for it. Jesus Christ, if all Americans are like you then it is no wonder that Americans in general are being thought of as arrogant sons of bitches who thinks that they are the greatest nation and people and that they own the whole world.

Europe is totally cooler than America. And they could have beaten the Nazis in WW2 on their own, no problem. In fact, they probably did, and the Americans just lied about it in the history books so they could look good.

You have no validity in this argument. Either way, it doesn't really matter. As far as Europe being cooler than America, it is subjective and useless to discuss.

America IS the greatest nation in the world aside from Australia because they have kangaroos.
damn right about the kangaroos but pls keep your pride private because I could say the very same thing about my country and I would truly mean it.
Anyway I think some of the people in here forgot what was the discussion about...
Dear America,
You are doing it wrong

...but that's the whole point I made, puuusianka! I firmly believe America, for all it's flaws, is the greatest country in the world's history. You would believe the same about your country. And neither one of us is going to change our opinion on it so bickering and debating on it like has gone on for 5 pages in this thread is pointless. You inadvertantly proved my point.
And the other good thing about America, at least for the time being, is I'm allowed to voice my pride, whether it be pro- or anti-[insert subject here].
:)

Yeah, although you can do that in pretty much any decent country, it's not like a special USA-only thing.
