Anyone gonna get it ?
Seems like a good multiplayer sc like.
You believe that Ubi can make good multiplayer?
That exactly why I am waiting for SteveTheCookie to get it first, on Xbox the Net looks very awesome, now for PC, I don't think so, they failed on Conviction with net so best to wait.
Pc got delayed so they are fixing stuff. Multi seems nice. Convictions multiplayer seemed like shit so i didn't bother.
It's not actually the multiplayer gameplay of Conviction that sucked, the COOP missions were way good if you are playing with a friend. The problem was that their Server was horrible and the matchmaking didn't really work either since noone could find a player to play with. People relied more on Tunngle than the Ubisoft servers, and then in the end, pirates cracked the hell out of Conviction, they even managed to remove the DMZ, and remove the requirement of the CD-Key.
P.S. Every patch that was released was also cracked, so you can basically play the game and the multiplayer for free, and to be honest, it ain't that bad that people play the game illegaly, the SCC just isn't worth it's money.
It's not very good. It was interesting for like 5 hours and then it was just ..... retarded.
Conviction or Brotherhood? Conviction has nice moments when you enjoy playing with someone.
AC.
Everything is automated. You'll grow tired of dying because a 4 year old pushed 1 button while on top of a 5 story building and he perfectly lands on you/stabs you/kills you because of ONE BUTTON.
Once you get past the "Wow, COOL!" phase then it's just lame as hell.
Thanks to the huge delay I can't be bothered with buying it, though that doesn't mean I won't play it trough a different method.
Somehow it seems to be a trend for Ubi to flip a finger to their costumers by handing out bonus material to everyone for free.
I just hope the game is stable enough without a patch, that would really make me facepalm at them.
Same can be said for Fable, they have nothing that holds them from delaying. I have nothing that holds me from playing without paying.
Well farley CT is also automated to a great degree , does not make it a sucky game though.
No, you can't jump on a sprinting merc from 10 stories up by pushing 1 button.
If AC is going to be anywhere similiar to what Conviction was by programming, they will pirate it the same way. And Farley is right about one thing, it is quite automated, but it does require strategy to win.
The very thing that gets me interested is the adrenaline. If you kill too many players, you get pursuited, up to 4 players, and imagine how intense that is? You have to walk across all of the people that can be anyone who is about to go behind you and yank you while you have to find your target, I think that quite difficult and quite tricky.
What happened to aimbot on taz and autoaim on long jumps in ct then ?
My point is that the game is made for you to hide in the crowd in AC. Use skills/run away and kill silently for more points.
If your persuer just run on the roofs and you run around with 4-5 same skin people , i doubt he ll kill you. And there are tons of skills it seems to hide in or run , not to mention he can't actually run around because you can stun him.
The game seems fun most importantly. It might be as simple as that vs noobs (Like in ct you know , run -> press button -> kill ). But i doubt it will be that simple against decent people who will actually hide in the crowd and use skills instead of standing still in the middle of the plaza waiting to get whacked.
AC multi for Ipod was fun. Too bad I uninstalled it and now it's for cash... Eh
Snakebit does make a point, but the fact that it will be repetitive is what worries me :/
The game has a built in aimbot, you don't even have to aim the gun and it 1-shot kills everybody. Aimbot in other games is a hack and not intended.
I might as well be playing chess. There is about that much input needed and chess has more strategic options.
CT/PT is way different. Games are never this automated. At least when 2 players encounter eachother there is a BATTLE of some kind, not whoever pushes kill or stun first.
So yeah it's kind of fun but the simplicity detracts so much need to practice. I can hop on the game after a month of not playing and start raping. Once you get your head around the "tactics" in the game then you have already mastered it. Not my kind of game.
AC is far from repetitive since the crowd is not scrypted it seems or learning every person up there is impossible. Same goes for skills which are made specificaly for you to hide in the large group of people. The crowd does a lot of stuff and it will take SKILL not just clicking 1 button to win vs Decent opponents , you know like in CT.
I haven't played AC myself but as much as i can tell the chaice/run away is a battle in itself. You can hide in crowd , discuise yourself , try to stun your persuer , run away etc.
Of course if they only have 1 type of a mode in AC:Brotherhood then yes, but what if they make a different one? That where it can change :P
There are different modes i think + DLC is comming , it will be nice when it comes out on pc.
Farley i doubt you will be any good after not playing that game for 1-2 months. Tactics are not that simple in most simplest games(Any fps is simpler than ac or ct tactics wise imho).
Well what do they have? They started with Deathmatch? What's next?
There are team on team. Free for all i think , may be something else.
Yeah but that not very huge difference in mode, I mean something totally different.

Dude, you haven't played it? Why do you think you can tell me about how tactical the game is then?
Ok then. Like I said
QuoteOnce you get past the "Wow, COOL!" phase then it's just lame as hell.
Well I will buy it.
It sounds good, multiplayer Mode will be fun i think ..
and uhm .. I've played Assasins Creed 1 and 2
So I will continue playing those games!
I might do, but only when my friend confirms that it's a good experience. Also why does your Naruto signature has a moustache :/
Apparently Brotherhood is out already, at least on the web. Isn't it suppose to come out in 2 days?
I played it on the xbox. It was fun, I liked how the stealth aspect of it was enforced by one-hit kills.
How heavy is the stealth compared to other 2? Can you actually finish an objective by killing the main guy and leaving others? Is it possible without being detected at all?
Haven't played at night so who knows. At day time you just stab and leg it.
So there are night/day cycles? Sweet!
I've got it, preferring Assassin Creed 2's gameplay at the moment but I've only played 2 hours of single player. Multiplayer is awesome but I can see it getting old fast :P
Multiplayer from the videos does seem.....Convictiony, but hell I bought Bio-Shock 2 for SP. Maybe AC:BH will have the same quality...
Honestly I thought the campaign in AC2 was like 2 times better. Brohood campaign was good but seemed extremely rushed and meh. Extremely meh at times. Multiplayer lasted me a whopping week before I was bored.
I may be alone on this, but I preferred many aspects of the first AC compared to the second game. The assassinations of the first game seemed more like an event. They were much more memorable and set up more effectively. I enjoyed the 2nd game the most overall, but I can only remember like 2 of the big assassinations.
Seems like now you are just killing anyone who is pissing off anyone. "HEY! This guy just yelled at me for not picking up my dog's shit!" and then Ezio says " >:( WHERE IS HE!?!?!?"
To make the best AC game yet they need to make assassinations not so freaking frequent. They need to feel meaningful. When Ezio says "Requiest en Pace", it needs to be memorable. Combine that with the customization, variety, gadgets, and you have a better game.
To make the multiplayer better:
Take out auto-aim with the gun.
Make it impossible to pounce on someone who is SPRINTING from the top of a 60 foot tall building.
Make the counter/kill system less shitty
Make the lobby/party/matchmaking system less shitty
Take out 99% of the automation
Make the current level-up system where you get more perks as you get better non-existent. Seriously who thought of giving the better players (like me) perks that the lower level players don't have? Especially when the games Ubi makes just cater to idiots anyway?
Of course, you also have the shit story going basically nowhere. I'm sick of wikipedia-ing the plot of the game after I finish it. Cliffhangers aren't bad, but when you leave every single installment of the game with no closure at all you make the story less interesting. Honestly I don't give a fuck anymore. It's just ridiculous.
I was kind of excited after AC2 that Ubi was making a good franchise again. It took less than a year for them to dash my hopes. This franchise will fail if it has annual releases with little improvement. It's just not COD, no matter how many perks/killstreaks they throw in the MP.
AC2 = Good.
AC:B = Multiplayer installment. They said that at the begining. Multiplayer is nice but needds some work. Story is short but fine, but i guess Haters gonna hate.
Jesus Snake, you sound like one of the Justin Bieber fangirls with that word xD
But how short are we talking about? :S
I see a lot of improvements over AC2 though.
- For one being you are no longer forced to leave the Animus, which was the case in AC 1 and 2.
- The brotherhood signs are just awesome, I feel all powerfull just walking up to a few guards, whistle once and BOOM, dead.
- They dropped to stupid icon system for keys and use proper keyboard/mouse icons now.
- As with AC2, I feel emerged into the story again.
Still, I'm not through the complete story yet. Though, the end of AC2 made me scratch my head, but after thinking about it, it actually made sense though. I'm sure the same will happen to brotherhood, which for the record is the part between AC2 and AC3, to give the story more depth. The ending might not be very suprising as it is just a part to uncover more of Ezio's history, rather than open up the story to part 3.
Either I overlooked it in AC2 but anyone else thinks the cloud shadows look awesome? Who would thought that something so small could make the environment so immersive?
They really did some aswesome light-play in this installment. Rome is so big that they built-in light transitions from rich to porer parts which looks pretty well.
I've been playing multiplayer since it released on the 18th, and it's awesome.
Not played much singleplayer, as it's pretty annoying with the mouse acceleration. It treats your mouse as a fucking controller joystick, so the faster you move the mouse the more you'll move -.- It makes it feel like the mouse sensitivity changes every frame.
In multiplayer the acceleration is gone, but it has smoothing instead -.-'
Multiplayer is still fun though. But it doesn't justice the 6 months delay. They claimed the delay was to make it a great PC experience. Really?
Just to name a few of the things that they failed to notice. But then again, how could they notice? I mean, it's not like it's something that you'd use throughout the entire game... sigh...
Mouse that's treated like a controller? Check.
Camera that automaticly rotates as you move? Check.
Multiplayer is still really enjoyable. If you can live with the lame "if you click now, you WILL kill" feature...
I mean... If someone is behind you, and you jump, and you're already 2 meters away from the roof, and they click the kill button, you will teleport back, and die... Or if they're 10 meters behind you and they click kill, they'll just teleport to you, most of the time -.-
And if they're on a roof top a bllion miles above you, and they click kill, you'll freeze until they've killed you...
Other than that. It's quite fun.
I'm a level 30 at the moment.
"Camera automatically changes when you move"
Does that mean you can't play it like the Shadownet spy in versus? Where you turn the camera and turn the character whichever way you would prefer?
Can you turn off the mouse accel? What does it do anyway how do you mean every frame? And on what moments or whatever?

No, it still works like versus, but they have a helper, obviously made for the console players, where if you run up a wall and jump to the right, the camera will automaticly turn around to face the new direction. PC players don't need that, because they can turn the camera themselves in an instant. This makes it hard to make certain maneuvers, because the camera turns all the time. It's been like that in all Assassin's Creed games, and it's annoying as hell.
By mouse acceleration, I'm talking about the fact, that if you move your mouse 10cm at 1cm a second, you'll probably have turned a quarter around your character. But if you move your mouse 10cm at 10cm a second, you'll have turned 360° around your character.
It makes it extremely difficult to control, because if you want to just turn a little while running, you only move your mouse like 5cm, which will turn really slow, but if you want to run the other way and turn the camera fast around, you'll have turned it much further than you wanted to because you moved it faster than when you just wanted to turn a little.
Aaaaah, well maybe that's why they are delaying the PC version? I hope...
Hah, Ezio gets chased by the guards he turns around and runs at them again, FUCKING MOUSE ACCELERATION! XD

It's the PC version I'm talking about.
Yeah, but it's not out yet and it's being delayed isn't that why it could be delayed?

AC:B = Multiplayer installment. They said that at the begining.
But then they go and make it full price?
It would have been better to just focus on the online portion, scrap the single player completely, turn it into DLC, and make it 30 or 40 bucks. Considering how meh the multi turned out, maybe even 20.
You can't scrap AC SINGLE PLAYER WTF?! Are you mental!? AC SP is the best thing ever!
They said it was THE multiplayer installment and from the beginning apparently. The Brohood campaign was meh. Not very important story-wise, it added very little, and what was important could have been done in the next AC.
They could have used that time/energy/resources on the MP to make it better.
The story is pretty much a prologue to AC3, especially near the end a lot is happening and it gets quite confusing. They also mixed in some important storytelling (AKA to get what you were playing for) while you are climbing against the clock, so I pretty much missed the whole clue.
So, story was fun untill near the end, then it became meh, not enough closure. Now I have to youtube the end again.
Regarding stealth gameplay. Most missions so far only ever have 1 "catch" like don't be seen, don't kill anyone. But never both.
For example I had to recover a painting from a boat but I couldn't be spotted for 100% sync. I climbed up the rear and shot the nearest fellow with my crossbow. The others would investigate but I would climb down a bit. After a few seconds they spread around on the ship so I can pop another one and wait again. Kinda lame, similiar to how conviction works. It's OK to kill as long as you do it without letting yourself known.
I also don't really like how they punish me inside dungeons by giving me 8 minutes or so to complete. I like to take my time and immerse myself while enjoying the scenery. With 8 minutes I'm not even halfway before time is up. It's a shame you can't get 100% sync by going for all treasure or skip treasure and race to the end.
So you can't get the picture from a boat without killing or K.O? That's lame...

Not out yet? It's been out for 3 days now. How do you think I know the shit that's in the game?
Yeah, I just noticed, turned out it's been delayed for US :P and you know a lot of shit xD

It hasn't been delayed for the US. It was planned. Europe the 18th, US the 22nd.

Yea, at some point I stopped caring about the 100% sync. You can redo any memory for 100% sync from the menu though. My guess is they added it to make replay-value bigger.
Is 100% sync, is that just gives you a bigger health bar?
As far as I see the way Lennard posted it's not necessary?
No, it means how well you completed the mission by following the "catch" I mentioned earlier. Some catches encourage you to play as you're suppose to as Ezio story wise, but others are more of a pain in the ass and turns the mission into an exploitable state (also mentioned in my earlier post).
By the way, wasn't there a sneak preview of the game where a developer said they didn't like the passive combat by winning fights in parry mode? You just happen to need 1 counter attack to do 3+ instant kills in a row by tapping attack button.
Doing 8 in a row gives you an UPlay achievement, I actually like how they did it now compared to AC/AC2, fighting got boring and was avoided most of the time in those installments.
I just noticed that this community is so anti-violence, we love to avoid fights, we want to get through the area and laugh at the NPCs :P This is truly a heaven....well...sometimes :D
