Damn what is going on? i'm registerd about 2 or 3 years on that forum and i waited for thhis mod so much i heard many things:
Project stealth will be on 2009 than 2k10 than 2k11
but all thoes years of waiting was spended on nothing!
So if i would think when the project stealth would be released and somone would ask me for it i would say.
IDK i think 2k14 or 15 or even 2k16 acording to what we se now.
Damn move guys i'm sick of waiting.
sorry for my bad english
Sorry the MOD, was cancelled.
WwWwWWHAT!
you are joking right?
Maybe it will? Well if such dismotivating threads show up, then maybe it really will be cancelled, because... well... the devs get NOTHING from all of this. They are making it in their own free time.
But maybe you can accelerate it, by joining the dev team? There are still open positions. http://community.projectstealthgame.com/forums/index.php?topic=1452.0
OR you join the very "creative" talks in the forum, or maybe even make a custom map with UDK? There are so many possibilities I can think of, till the release of a playable version in 10 months.
Oh wait... it is NOT a "mod" anymore. It will be "STAND ALONE", so you will NOT NEED UT3!
We went stand-alone with UDK over a year ago, so we're not a mod another, but a full blown indie :)
Lennard, Lead Programmer, just came back after a very busy period, so you can expect some new footage hopefully within a week or two. I've already given the winners of the 'idea-contest' a preview sneakpeek of what's coming, but some parts of the implementation are still missing and we want to have that working before showing you that. Lakehouse has also been pimped with stuff but some lighting issues prevented us from showing that off.
As for a playable version (that means dev-team only), probably still a few months. That won't feature everything yet though. For a public release, maybe something end 2011 or beginning of 2012. We'll see. Official release date: when it's done.

Didn't you state in "estimated date"-Thread, that it will be released "5 months later than planned"?
Well...
"planed": end 2011/ beginning 2012
"delay": 5 months
new year's day 2012 + 5 months delay = 1st May.
or did i confuse something? Because Conky DID sound confidend when he posted

It is worded a little funny, but what he's saying is:
That quote is from mid-summer. At that point, if nothing went wrong, then beta was supposed to come out around the end of 2011/beginning of 2012. Since Lennard got busy for 5 months, thus impeding progress, they are now 5 months behind from that quote.
...Expect beta next June... so much easier to say that ;)
and you also didnt deny it or anything... so do you mean "5 months delayed" from today, or "5 months delayed" from new year's day 2012?
sigh, you guys are taking stuff way too literally.
Yes, it's a 5 month delay. It'll probably be out some time in 2012...
I DID sound confident! The "June" date was supposed to be taken lightly though (but I WAS literally right ;)). Look at PS much like people looked at Duke Nukem Forever. Release date? Pshhhhh. That's just a day that will be preceded by an announcement that it's been delayed for a while longer.
People like dates though. It gives them something to put on their calendars.
Yes, because Duke Nukem is an indie game that does not get paid a load... I had DX:HR on my Calendar ever since the very first teaser trailer came out :P
Two things:
A.) Everyone knows the DNF story. So saying that PS's release plan resembles that of DNF is a viable comparison and a FINE example of how you should look at PS! Just because 3D Realms was an actual company, with actual money, and people working(?) actual jobs, and on top of all that STILL not being able to get the game out in a timely manner is not the point! :)
B.) You don't get to talk about the new Deus Ex until you've played the actual version. New rule. Deal with it! ;)
(With that bar set so low on release dates with this post it should be EASY for the PS Devs to surprise us with an actual game within another year!!)
It's fucking today, I am sitting near the door with my laptop >:( Damn your rules...
Lol I rented it on xbox.

aaaaaaaand you paid more then anyone on this forum... ;P
I wish I could pay another 100£ for more of this content, wish I could actually buy all of the making videos if there was.
Come to think of it, I believe there is a way to pay money and get the game.
I ain't paying you Farley ;D
I meant paying one of the many, many retailers who offer the game. ;)
So what's this Duex Ex? Some kind of grown out of proportion hype game?
@Dread, didn't see you got collector's edition. Thought you were talking about leaked content. lmao never mind
@Dwarf, there was actually like no hype for this game except among its kind of niche fanbase. I'm sure you're joking tho lol
EDIT: This post contained some not originally meant... Thoughts. So Here is someone to distract your memory if you read it:

As much as it pains me, I'm going to lock this thread just because it's point got across a LOOONG time ago. I love me some Deus Ex, but someone can make a sweet Off Topic thread about it and we can all continue there. :D
